Vektor Headers and Sharkwerks Install
#16
So you're doing headers blowing through stock 400 cell cats? Doesn't seem to be the best approach. Maybe should've gone Soul 200 cell cats FIRST and see if you like the sound??

I would counter, what's the point of going to 200 cell cats if you're blowing thru that atrocity of a stock header Plus, I've already shown how equal length headers change the sound quality and volume compared to the stock log manifold header design.

Still waiting..
Ordered Sharkwerks and VekTor on 5/7 - but both are being ceramic coated so thats where the delay seems to be for now.
Ordered tips on 5/10 and they are still with Jet Hot...
BTW - checked with Cobb tuning, with this setup I will need a Pro-Tune.

Are you planning to install them yourself? I am not looking forward to taking my bumper off and struggling in tight spaces again lol

going to install myself
bumper does not require removing, install is not that bad. I have all the tools needed and then some.

When I spoke with the Sharkwerks guys they said you only had to loosen up cats but don't need to completely remove them. Do you have a stubby wrench for the one bolt that is tough to get at; curious how you plan to attack that.

From my experience, a swivel joint and 1/4" tools should be able to get you access to everything in the .2 car. I mean, there's nothing harder to reach than that 1 freaking bolt between the header and turbo

did a sound level baseline, don’t mind the numbers its just a baseline. The mic is 10” from the tips so numbers are high.
but I can do a similar test after the install for comparison

By the way, I have no clue overall about that app, I did see your analysis thread earlier.

Just have it running on the same setup as you had the dB meter and have video going on it. Once you play with it a bit, you'll see how it works. You can change the scales in dB range (upper and lower limits) and also frequency range by using your fingers in standard screen zoom type fashion.
