Soul sport cats installed this past Thursday. Noticed what appeared to be oil on the garage floor after I returned from my second drive with the new cats today. Took some pics. Anyone have any insight as to what the issue may or may not be? Mostly the drivers side but some on the px side cat as well. Thanks.

^ Could be a funny perspective, or I am forgetting what the engine looks like that far back and higher up, but it seems awfully far back? And everything ahead of the drip looks super clean on that side of the turbo/cat/muffler. Hard to imagine it's from enough oil "splashed on there" during the install however.

Worth cleaning off and monitoring to see if it continues/gets worse so long as oil level/pressure look ok.

Its carbon and condensation. Nothing to worry about. The stock mufflers drain it differently. But it wouldn't be a bad idea to check all yours joints for tightness.

That's likely just exhaust soot from the slip joint between the cat and muffler. Over time, probably enough soot will build up in the joint and it won't happen anymore.

Thanks for the replies. It was clean after install and the drive home which was mostly highway miles. I pushed the car a bit today on back roads. I will keep an eye on it and wait to hear back from the shop that did the install. Appreciate it.

Please explain in more detail why so he can make an educated decision.

Without question I would, will and did do the same. Right off the floor I removed all of the stock exhaust components and cats were #1 to be removed.
What I said is true since he asked, but I could care less about the warranty and I would rather enjoy the car now and not wait 4 years for the warranty to expire...I usually keep cars for a couple of years as it is so I would never get full enjoyment out of them if I cared about the warranty! Besides, the odds are nothing is going to go wrong. And yes, I am having the header and cats changed and OAP deleted on the Spyder I am ordered next month when it arrives.

Thanks so much, PTS-BRG. Appreciate your thoughts.

Bob and I are buddies, PTS-BRG. I really respect both of his opinions, although they do seem at first blush to be in conflict.

God bless,
TT
And if you read my post above you should see that there is no conflict in what I said!
