it's about $8k list and typical dealer install is about $1800. It is covered under your new car warranty, but has a 2 year warranty of its own if your 911 is out of warranty. Porsche has to load the upgrade software to your VIN. Not sure if an independent ship can request that or download that.
There have been several good sales of PowerKits since last June. I've seen em for as low as $5070. A buddy recently caught one on sale for I think around $5700 and found a Florida dealer to install it for $1000.
I got mine from my dealer soon after buying my 911 new last June, and he matched the best prices I could find at that time - $5070 + $1850. Then after the install I sold my S turbo takeoffs with 1400 miles on them to a SoCal tuner for $
3200. He jumped at my asking price, so maybe they were worth more. But I was very happy with my net upgrade cost of about $4300 including ship fees & taxes.
