Lucky day.
Me, too. Luckily she did not have a 400 lb. front passenger or there would have been damage for sure.

Not that I would do this, but, I’ve heard from some other people that keeping a kryptonite lock in your car to put on offending wheels can send a message to folks this careless. Just something I heard.

Also in NW Atlanta (Kennesaw) and will have my car in about a week. Definitely game for some get togethers/drives. There is an active community here if you aren't already involved with lots of drivers.

So what's the big deal here? Ok, so the pickup truck driver is a lousy parker. That ain't news, and will always be existent. Have you ever driven a truck that size? They are very-very wide and fill up the space in most all retail shop parking spaces.

Why take the time and find the driver of the truck? Who needs the confrontation and drama? Just open your passenger door, cross over your center console, and drive away.

I'd like to see more of the picture. What was on your right side? Another spot, or did you park on an end-spot. I always park at an end-spot and hug the curb. This gives those poor parkers more margin.

I'm new to the northern ATL suburbs and got back into a 911 (2013 C4S) a couple of weeks ago after being away for 7 years. I traded in my 2009 C2S for a Cayenne S back in 2012 (needed to pull a boat and couldn't justify both at the time), and have had regrets ever since. I do love the Cayenne S and will drive it until the wheels fall off, but it's no substitute for a 911.

When I lived in Boston (1998 - 2015), we had an active Porsche group in the area and I miss those drives and weekend meetups. Anyone remember the days of Porsche Pete's Boxster Board?

Count me in!

I had a 2001 Boxster S. Boxsters were so hot at the time - I think I waited 6 months from order to delivery. I sold it in 2008 and didn't visit PPBB much the last couple of years, so I didn't know that Chuck had passed away. Those were fun times and Chuck's forum was a big part of the Porsche experience.

You know that DB did it because it's a Porsche.

Interesting, if you look at the minivan parked on the other side of the truck, it appears based on the angle that the van is actually miss-parked as well and maybe, just maybe, the truck driver was simply aligning with the van's angle and didn't realize that the Porsche was so close to the front of the truck because she couldn't really see it down there. Could have been an honest mistake as opposed to intentionally trying to crowd the Porsche.

Could be. Or could just be another lousy parker. Maybe I just have too much faith in others, and don't subscribe to everyone's idea that they are out for a Porsche owner.

The idiot is parked over the white line. I'm sure a 99% chance was intentional. They could have parked straight in. Not the first time it's happened, and won't be the last.

Agree.

Btw. OP - You’ve got to park where Jesus left his sandals.

The one thing I have learned over the years owning nice cars is parking far away only draws unwanted attention. Your car is much safer just parking at the closest spot you can find. For one it no longer stands out and secondly it doesn't attract the attention of oh look at this *** parking his nice car far away let's go screw with him.
