Just traded my 997 GTS for 991 Targa GTS - Wow
If anyone wishes to read why I traded my 2012 997 GTS cab, 2007 C6 ZO6, and $$ for my 2017 991.2 GTS Targa, the reasons are (somewhat) set forth in detail in the following thread:
https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...ttersweet.html
This is my first post in this forum. I have previously owned, among other sports cars, three other Porsche's: a 1990 964 Targa; 2009 997S cabriolet Launch Edition; and a 2012 997 GTS cabriolet PDK. I have owned my low mileage (3,100,) highly optioned 2017 ($168k sticker,) Agate Grey GTS Targa for one whole day. The car is truly impressive. Compared to the 997, the electronics are from a different century - this could be good or bad, but I love all the bells and whistles (see option list below). The interior is amazing, and I find the Targa is the most attractive 991 produced. This seems to be a different level of "sports car" from the 997, at least in the configurations I have owned. I still need to get acquainted with my Targa which will be tough because it is close to that time to put it in hibernation for the winter. Anyway, just saying hello to this new (to me) forum! I am thrilled with this car!!

Wow nice build. Welcome. The 2012 you traded was no slouch, however you clearly bought a wonderful 911. If you enjoy torque expect to wear out tires . Try sport plus if you have chance, it's a whole new animal compare to the 997 and the 991.1.

Congratulations looks beautiful! - I too moved from the 997 board (2011 C4S) over here about 1.5 years ago after purchasing my new to me 2015 Targa 4S ($182K sticker, so lot's of options...).
