Default Need some help getting a right car!

Hello! Hopefully i did not miss similar thread before. Tried to use search engine but could find questions that 100% match what i am looking for.
After looking at m5 competition and m4cs and finding out how bad lease became on those, i decided to finance my next car. Now my budget is around 125k and i would like to get CPO, from what i see i am in range for 2018 991 GTS or 2015 Turbo.
Till now i test drove those 2 and really cant decide which would be better. I will also take my car for race track around 10 times a year, should i get steel or pccb? I saw some discouraging stories of PCCB and track days, how long will PCCB last if i track the car?

Which one would be better as fun daily and occasionally track car?
https://www.porschesouthbay.com/inventory/certified-used-2018-porsche-911-carrera-gts-rear-wheel-drive-coupe-wp0ab2a92js122601 - this will be around 124k. I love the wheels on this one and interior but hate exterior color. Also loaded with luxury options.

https://www.porschewoodlandhills.com...ab2a93js122820 - this will be around 126k. Full black exterior looking really badass, low milage, PCCB but with carrera s wheels, luxor beige that from what i see get dirty with ease.

Are those prices right or i could do better? Sorry for any mistakes i made, not a native speaker

Hello. Do you track cars already and are experienced or are you just planning on it. The reason I ask is if you already do then you would likely have enough experience to know which 911 you would prefer. I can't talk for you but I would go for the GTS. It will likely feel just as fast and hold its value better. Pretty simple choice.
Which do you want. Take one away from the decision and tell me if you would be happy.

I was watching this one before I bought my Carrerra T:

https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...3105/overview/

It's not a GTS or Turbo, but is specked as a total driver's car (Manual, PCCB, RAS, PSE, Sport Chrono, sunroof delete, 4 way Sport seats)

Should be very lightweight and probably could unlock a lot more power with a ECU tune.

Plus you will save $27k or more! It's been for sale for awhile, so you could probably negotiate a good deal.

FYI The first link you posted points to a different car (a Carrera S, not the Turbo).

I'd vote for the GTS too. But note that it will depreciate much more rapidly than the Turbo since the Turbo is already pretty far down its depreciation curve and the GTS isn't. From what I understand, you are right to be concerned about PCCB replacement costs if you will be tracking that heavily.

Also a recommendation, don't buy a car with an exterior color that you hate. You'll continue to hate it and you don't want that on your mind every time you drive it. Wait and get a car you like... the time waiting will be well worth it.

your first link is to a 2014 Carrera S for $86k, is that the correct link?

the 2018 gts looks crazy loaded with an original msrp of $147k so your basically getting a brand new gts for 20k off msrp. If you're ok with a black car and you don't mind the interior, that car looks like a real winner.

RE: PCCB, they're awesome but really expensive to replace if they wear out. I'm no expert, but I've read that spirited driving is fine for them, but serious racing with them can cause them to wear out. Probably depends on your driving style.

PCCB is geat for autocross but will wear out quickly on track days. So if you plan to do DE, steel is the better choice.

This may be blasphemous on a Porsche discussion board, but you seem to have a preference for (or history with) BMWs. I had a chance to drive a M850 about a week ago and was hugely impressed. It's a heck of a car, and a real departure from every other BMW I have had the chance to drive in the past 10 years. Real steering, real suspension, and a real exhaust note. Paddle shifters only, which may be a deal breaker. Don't get me wrong ... I'm still happy to have my Carrera T on the way. But if you're a BMW fan, it might be worth checking out.

Let the flames begin ...

Just edited first link with correct car. Both cars leads to 991.2 gts models, didnt find turbo that i like yet!.
Price is pretty much the same on those 2 cars main difference is one is equipped more with luxury options and 2nd with pccb. I know how to drive manual but i dont want to deal with it here in Los Angeles.
My track driving experience limits to 2 day AMG driving school and 2 track days in my old e92 335 so not much. so which one of those 2 is better choice as daily and occasional track days and if the price is good?

All of the 991.2 ( and 991.1) models are great daily drivers. PCCB will last about 24 track days before needing replacment ( big cost), if you run a lot of days, get iron.
Compared to BMWs you have much less storage space, but much greater handling....

Frankly, you should cross the GT Silver Metallic one off your list. Why would you spend $125,000 on a car when you "hate the exterior color"? You could probably say the same for th black one if you are unsure about the breaks or don't like the luxor interior. Of the two, the black one is more performance oriented with PCCB, PDCC and SPASM, the silver one is more stylish one with the glass roof, and GTS interior.

Ultimately wait for the car you truly love.

Congratulations! The all black looks sweet with the yellow PCCBs!
