Default 2016 GTS/2018GTS

As some of you know I am ready to pull the trigger on a 2018 GTS with 7000 miles and trade in my 2016 GTS with 21000 miles. It will cost me 30,000 grand after grinding them, but still have not pulled the trigger. I test drove it and Love it. However, no exhaust sound that compares to the 16 GTS! Others have said the Love the .2 GTS , but to me it sure did not compare to the NA engine, it seems like not even close. However the car is much faster. I'm I missing something, and those that test drove both, please inject your thoughts! Thank you in advance....!!!!!!!!!

Its sound vs torque, head unit upgrades, and newer......

The sound of the 991.2 can be improved by switching to 200 cell cats.

Only you can make the choice.

Keep the 16 and wait to see what the 992 offers.

30k is a very good price difference. Well done on the grinding! I guess it depends on whether all the extra power matters to you, but I'd take that deal.

Why not wait for the 992 announcement which is right around the corner? See what it has to offer. What's the rush?

The GTS won't be available for a couple of years, though.

And will have the changed interior if that matters.
Remember the price difference also factors mileage and warranty as well.

This seems to be the important part of your post. How often do you actually need the extra speed and is that worth 30k to you? Otherwise your first part of this quote seems like you should just stick with what you got.
I see a lot of people waste a lot of money for extra speed and power they do not actually use but just want to stroke their own ego with what they have,

I agree. For $2k installed you can get a pair of Soul High Flow cats and the car will sound great. I test drove a 2017 Targa 4S with them and I ordered a 2019 Targa GTS - the cats are sitting 3' away from me right now and all I need is the car.

+1 I'm sure the 992 base will be running close to the old 991.2 GTS, If speed is a concern

GTS with exhaust (bypass pipes/high flow/headers) sounds just as good, if not better than a .1

Stock is subjective.
