Sounds like a reasonably good deal to me - It's CPO right? As far as sound is concerned, waiting for a 992 won't help, go for a 200 cell cat and you'll love it (might get a few HP to boot). Good luck with your decision.

had a 2016 gts and loved the sound BUT the power is in the wrong place.
depends on your driving style but I don't like screaming to red line to get power...sold the 2016 and went back to amg Mercedes with low down torgue...test drove a 2018 991.2 gts and bought it.
power delivery is what does it for me....

I have a 991.1 w the power kit so essentially a GTS w/o the wide body. Last weekend I spend some time at the PEC in Carson driving the 991.2S. As expected it’s definitely faster. But at the end of the day I find myself thinking I do prefer the NA feel vs the turbo feel. Maybe that’s because 95% of my driving is daily driving. There’s something about NA that makes the experience more fun. This surprised me since I came in thinking I would love the 991.2 a lot more. Now I’m thinking if I upgrade I might as well go for the 992.

If you love NA so much, why go for the, also turbocharged, 992?
Its not like they’re going back to NA.

No they are not going back, and I don't plan on driving the NA past 100k miles. So eventually I'll upgrade out of necessity. This experience made me realize better I hold out as long as possible. So for sure I'm not getting into a 991.2. If I'm going to miss out on the NA I better have a bunch of things that are better. I'm sure the 992 will be better than the 991.2 (for most people).

Agree Soul Cats are awesome. Goldilocks just right sound, super high quality. Best money I’ve spent on the car.

My car arrived in port this past Friday so I am patiently waiting; however, I am leaving town Sunday on a cruise so it seems more likely each day I will not get the car until after Thanksgiving. I do have an installer lined up though who quoted me 1 1/2 hours for the installation. Needless to say I will report my thoughts on them in the forums, but I know what to expect!

Why would you drop $30K on a model that in a few years will be worth less than your .1 GTS? 991.1 GTS's will hold amongst the best value and depreciation within modern 911's. The best and last of the N/A cars, and the best non-GT model within that? The .2's won't have any "last of" value to mitigate depreciation, as the 992 will be the same powertrain, just dialed up, into a newer model. .1's are the last of a kind, and the GTS is the ultimate N/A Carrera, arguably of all time. 3.5 0-60 from a gloriously singing N/A 3.8L flat six making 430 HP with no power adders? And you want to get rid of it??!! LOL.

If you like the .2 GTS, then hey, let your feelings to the talking. Personally, I LOVED everything except for the underwhelming and meager sound of the .2 GTS. But the .1 GTS was an absolute visceral riot, which I personally prefer.

This is all true in your own head. We know this because you've always had a clear bias. Instead of being happy for the guy you come up with this trash of a post. What's wrong with you guy?

In reality what you state is not true. There is a true and clear winner and it's the .2. It's why people like the OP and many others have jumped ship. Clearly he felt a romance with the car and spent the extra cash. Just look at the 991 section.. It's dominated with 991.2 threads. Many of the .1 guys have disappeared or upgraded. The .2 GTS will be known and remembered as the best performer due to it's superior motor. It's the one that hangs with supercars. It's "the one that will respond better to mods" which what most people do when they buy a sports car with a turbo engine.

He just bought a car that's worth triple the price of yours. You own a base 3.4l with 350hp and no torque. The car in question is in a different realm that you haven't seemed to grasp. You should trade up for that BEAST 3.8 that won't even make 430hp in California. The 997 and 996 are also N/A. The only N/A water cooled engines that will hold value are found in the GT3.

Winner in what contest? I am one of those who "has jumped ship". From 991.1 GTS to 991.1 TTS. I test drove 991.2 S and GTS, but they being undoubtedly great machines somehow did not speak to me. The TTS did, but it is in a different league.

I think 991.1 and 991.2 are both great designs which are different to a point we should not compare them side by side. It is a transition IMO equal to 993 to 996 one. I am sure there are people who are going to keep their 991.1 NAs forever. I for one am considering buying a 991.1 GTS back additionally to my TTS, or going GT3.

BTW, congrats on your acquisition. What is ir?

I got a 2018 Silver GTS and Love it! Like many have said is the only negative might be the quieter exhaust, but so be it. Antbody the drives any type of Porsche turbo, has that dilemma.

The 2018 991.2 GTS still sounds way better then a TTS.

As strange as it may sound to people on these forums that nitpick these things, my 991.2 GTS has actually gotten a lot of compliments for the way it sounds from drivers of Lambos/McLarens, etc. And that was even before I put the Akra stuff on it.

I'm sure the excitement is killing you, I know it would for me haha. That's an excellent install time! I'm looking forward seeing your thoughts Bob, it's always a pleasure reading your feedback on various topics
