Convinced Porsches are crap, and dealer service even worse.

Luck of the draw I guess...

I think the thread should have been more about my poor service experience than the car breaking. All European performance cars break. I bought my first Porsche in 1978 and will always own one. The 911 is a joy. My favorite pairing was an E46 M3 and 911, and it was a ton of fun. Getting that same feeling back with a QV and 911 has been a gas.

I have tint on my front windshield on all my cars and I can't even tell it's there. Zero issues with polarized sunglasses.

I recently drove my 991.1S 300+ miles to topeka ( heartland raceway ). Did a private track day... going through 2 tanks of gas... I think was like 5 to 6// 25 minute sessions...
and than snow came in on monday (stayed overnight), I drove it 300+ miles back to my house in blizzard conditions..
(all this done on the new P zero's - amazing tires...not best grip on track compared to say Re71R bridgestones but thank god had them on drive home)
Detailed the car completely, underbody etc, no leaks and nothing... suspension perfect, and nothing loose.
I don't know what other sports car could do this...

These stories are 95% tire and 5% car.
New PZeros with a few track days will have some minimal traction in snow. 4-year-old 50%-worn-down PZeros probably won’t.
C4 Summer tires from the freekin’ ‘90s barey had any grip in the dry as compared to summer tires from the ‘10s.

Yeah I wish this thread was gone. I was really pissed and I think anyone in the same situation may feel the same. The dealer in question is too busy. It took me two months to get it out. And they were dishonest to boot.
Ontario Porsche opened and though they are not next door, they are owned by Walter's parent company and pretty good.
I have had four Porsches in my garage in the last five years and had no more major problems in that time. The 991 is much more complex than my 997.2 GT3, and so there is more to go wrong.
If I could close or delete this thread I would.
