Decisions, decisions, GT Silver or Chalk?? How to chose?

GT silver is a classic beautiful color. You can’t go wrong with it. My issue is that silver is a very common color. I’m drawn to “off” colors such as nardo gray and chalk. You’d have to see a 911 in chalk to appreciate at it, or even hate it like my wife does. Actually, she just dislikes it. First world problems indeed.

I had the exact same decision to make on my GTS and struggled with it until I saw a chalk Turbo S pull in to the gas station I was at. Done deal - chose chalk. GT Silver is certainly nice and is 'safe', but ultimately I decided to do something a little different. Both colors look really good with the black parts. I added CF mirror caps / triangle, pccb, and glass roof, painted skirts and diffuser to complete the look.
I havent second guessed it yet, but felt good to move on from it. Good luck.

GT silver is probably more appealing to the masses for resale, however the less common colors typically get a premium.
I think GT looks great under light at nigh.
I've had too many silver cars and they seem a little blah at times, still I just picked up an Agate S...
In our climate with grey skies and pavement they seem to blend in too well, enough to draw more impacts even (my 5 series and T5 wagon were both silver and got whacked)?

I also drank the “classic color” kool aid and ordered a GT silver car. Frankly after the car arrived I was disappointed. It’s just another boring silver car, and rather fragile paint to boot. I like the chalk option a lot.

Mine is GT Silver, but I voted Chalk. I've not even seen a (real) picture of a 911 in Chalk, but the Cayman I saw looked sharp. Be different.

I am on my second GT Silver. I saw Chalk at the dealer on a cloudy day and it looked very bland to me. I think if Chalk was a no cost option I may have ordered it, but it is not. I went the safe route, someday I will go all out on a PTS color.

The GT paint is really beautiful and shows off every contour of the car very well. I've seen chalk and it looks good, too. There's no bad choice, but one is a better value.

I've decided on Chalk paint. It's my first Porsche and I like the idea of it being somewhat unique, without being flashy. I'm surprised how close the poll results are though, and I'm curious to see where it ends.

I have not seen a chalk 911 but obviously i have seen some GT silver but if the chalk looks as good in person as it does in pics I must say chalk without a doubt. It’s just different than the usual black, white or silver. I just need to see one in the flesh because I’ve never been a fan of yellow ever until I saw a yellow t and I was in love!
