Default My wheel saga is over - BBS E88's are it!

I asked fellow Rennlisters for your opinions on wheels in this thread on which BBS setup or other you guys liked better:

https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1105...ke-better.html

In a landslide victory, the CH-Rs or HRE setup won out against the E88's I had also bought. I was deep down a rabbit hole looking for the perfect setup which would really make or break the look I'm going for with my C2S since it will be rather lightly modded.

Ended up going with a trusted advisor in Eric at Supreme in his opinion to switch out the suspension from H&R springs to the H&R VTS and stick with the E88's. I was absolutely floored with the end result. The overall look of the car is completely transformed from my CH-R setup. The ride on the VTS is not much different than the H&R springs even though much lower.. the lower profile of the car looks a lot better as well. The front lip scrapes a little more than before (which was hardly ever) but no other problems with the bottom of the car or anything. Handles like it's on rails with the Sport Cup 2's.

Anyways, thanks guys for all the input on the previous thread - I'm sticking with this!

I’m not a huge BBS fan but I love those and they look great on your darker color car. Hint of classic German BBS style. Great choice

I’m curious, is there clear coat on the wheels?

The middle is painted, the outers I re-polished myself with a drill bit and polish then ceramic coated them with Gyeon Rim. The ceramic coating seems to be doing exactly what I wanted, basically acting as a temporary clear coat and the water beads up nicely and dirt will not stick as much and washes off with pressure washer. Still a pain to clean, but they look really good.

I voted for the E88s! Despite the landslide for the CH-Rs, the best part is that you did what you wanted in the end. Sometimes you just have to flip the coin - and only then do you discover what you really wanted when you realize that you don't like the outcome of the coin toss. Looks great!

I also voted for the E88's and they look sharp on your lowered car. Congratulations! Those also make your brakes look bigger.

Does BBS provide clear coat as an option?
The maintenance is probably worth it as the wheels just look great!

It came out looking lovely! I imagine this will inspire a few fellow Rennlist to try this setup as well. I look forward to helping a few getting this setup onto their cars. Thanks for sharing these photos with us and enjoy in good health.
