What's funny is that I paid (too much) for the colored crest wheel caps to replace my black/silver ones - now that I've seen this thread, I want to go back in the other direction. It turned out looking really, really sharp!
I am really enjoying the new look on the T with this crest.
BTW the seller's id on eBay is this: https://www.ebay.com/usr/interestedparty
I am sure that is the same as Carrera East that @Penn4s mentioned above, as all the labels on the package, invoice, etc, were from Carrera East Studios.
Has anyone been able to get a hold of Jim? I PM’d and emailed him with some questions and he finally responded, but when I tried to order two crests I never heard back. Ended up buying one off his eBay site and I agree the quality is great, but I am wanting some custom ones.

Me, too. I talked to him a couple times via email on 10/17 about a custom set with Miami Blue and I have emailed him back several times since without hearing back. Do you want Miami Blue in your crests? If so maybe he can do an order for both of us at once, if we can reach him.
I’m planning on Mexico Blue on one and red on the other. He told me it’s only an additional $25 for a custom color so I don’t think getting them done together would make a difference. I gave up trying so I started researching ways to make these myself and am almost ready to get started.
Roger that and sorry I did not pay closer attention to your avatar in respect to the color of your car. I have doubts I can get these made but I am hoping for the best since I do not have the skills or patience to make them myself.
Fortunately I have the patience, we’ll see about the skill. I’m very particular about getting it right, so if it turns out perfect, I may offer to make them for other Rennlisters.

I wish you the best and you sound like me...it has to be perfect! And if it works out keep me in mind (blackbirdbobz@gmail.com).
Yep, as I said, it’s a bit frustrating dealing with Jim in that he takes a while to respond back. Hang in there......you won’t be disappointed! Great quality. I believe he and his daughter do this as a second job.
bob, what was the cost for the crest on the wheels? What kind of wheels do ya have? Do you have to send him your wheel caps?

Yes, it is a part time hobby for him and his daughter and based on the gallery of samples on his web site, and in a thread on 6speedonline, which contains other work he has done, I am sure I will be happy with the final products. A set for the 4 wheels is $299.99 and they are not concave crests as the stock ones are; mine are stain black to match the 5 lug wheels on my Targa GTS (no CLs for me) and will have Miami Blue in them. There was a $25 upcharge for the color but since it was added to the price of the hood crest it did not change the price of the wheel crests, or steering wheel crest. And no, you do not have to send him your crests so one can sell them if they prefer.
