And here is the 991.1 production data for North America. Please note that I did not do the 2012 model year as its so blended with 997.2 series cars as both were sold in the same model year. It will be low-ish numbers of 991s as the 997.2s were still being sold.

These are all great cars and Porsche keeps the low specialty cars in low production numbers. This protects the buyer of those cars.
I keep doing the numbers on trading a 991.1 3.4L for the new 991.2 smaller 3.0L and can't pay the entry fee. It seems that I am going backwards? I'll stay here for now:
It's just better than the 991.2

Think about it...the 991.2 series so far shows 2,420 GT3's for the US and 1,184 GT3RS which is always about half of GT3 production with it still ongoing until May.
991.1 shows a similar ratio...

I think it is surprising to a lot of folks just how many 991 GT3s and GT3 RSs were produced. PAG really cranked them out. This is good news for some, not so much for others. But these cars just don't have the exclusivity we saw in previous generations. And I'm saying this as a 991.2 GT3 buyer.

I just love that the underrated 911T still continues to be a rarity overall...hehe.

Porsche are the master's of supply and demand. Yes, the numbers look large compared to past production but there are still more buyers then they wish to supply. I think someone said 1 in 9 of every 911 produced this generation was a GT car.

Do you have any seat time in a T? It's a real sweetheart just the way it is.

If you are trying to get on a list now, you are far, far too late to the party. If you started a good while back, then all I can think is that you just didn't call around enough. Either way, there is great news for you. There is a ton of GT3s to choose from on AutoTrader, Cars.com and even right here on Rennlist. If you fancy an RS, they can be had for a modest ADM and, with a little patience, you'll see them at MSRP soon enough.
I'd never go to AutoTrader for a car. I also owned three old small bumper 911's which worked out very well.

I just went V250 on a C4 cab that’s getting built next month.
So plus one there at some point. I had no idea they built so few. As noted, it may be made in such low numbers due to being “undesirable” to many, but I like the concept it can be a 4ish season car with winter tires. And the top goes up and down without stopping.
