All 911s built on one assembly line. Including GT cars. Assembly line is limited capacity. GT cars get ADM for the dealer. Which means, profit wise, if they sell one GT car it's equivalent to selling, maybe, 4 C4's. So put those GT cars out there!! As long as they sell.
Not sure how ADMs charged by certain dealers helps PAG, but if what you say is true, you should chime in on this discussion on the GT3 forum. See post 3714 and subsequent posts:

And by your logic, wouldn’t that mean base Carrera production would be exceptionally low, too?

It's trunk money for dealers that do not show up on the balance sheets for PAG. So the official revenue numbers essentially never have to account for an additional expense or outlay to dealers.

It is. NA sales of base 911's, generally, have been going down. Compare the NA year after year sales back a few years. The only thing keeping 911 sales number looking halfway decent is the sale of all those "GT" labeled cars. Talking USA/Canada sales.

China entirely different story. Little 911 sales data so, largely, unknown.

ADMs help keep dealers profitable. PAG does not like unprofitable dealers. Because it means they have to discount their cars to the dealers to keep them afloat.[/QUOTE]

Porsche AG or PAG has a profit number. It is what the parent Company earns per vehicle sold. The profit margin is at about 14% to the VW parent. This is net of racing expenses.

I suspect that local Porsche dealers earn another 14% profit margin. The managers earn around $150,000 per year. It's a great deal. My car:

That may be but base Carrera and Carrera S (and even C4S) production and sales look nothing at all like the C4. And I find it hard to believe this is explained by profit margin delta.

I guess it’s too bad for the dealerships that weren’t informed of or decided to refuse the disguised trunk money.

I'll pull a new update this weekend as I'll also be providing a more detailed Carrera T breakdown with options. This interests me as I find there are quite a few "bloated or weirdly spec'd" 991Ts sitting on dealers lots as some dealers simply didn't understand what the car was about.

I agree. Seems like there are a number of Ts at dealerships. The one I tested had Power Steering Plus ... does not fit the T

As I was pulling Carrera T stats I ran the 991.2 production as of February 25, 2019.

Looks like the US received 559 more cars this past month and the first 2 Turbo S Exclusive cars are now showing. Canada added an additional 136 cars and none of the exclusive Turbo S series...yet.

Pretty nuts to see the GT cars by far being the highest sellers and essentially holding up 911 YoY sales in 2018/2019.

Loads of GT3 and GT3RS...it's quite surprising. But really Porsche came out saying we are not a hedge fund so we will build demand -1; it appears they have held true to that!

Judging by how many 991.2 GT cars are on the market (both new and barely used), and seeing some gently used examples now having sold for below sticker, I wonder if PAG hasn't actually produced more than "demand -1". They'll all sell eventually but as someone who has been driving these cars and following these markets since the 996 GT cars came out, I've never seen anything like this. There are guys on the 991 GT3 board who argue PAG's smallest profit margin is on the GT cars, though I don't see how that could possibly be even close to true.

And thank you, Cam, for these data, as well.

Different story here in the U.K.

Cheapest 991.2 GT3 for sale is £145,000/$193,000 for a 2017 Sapphire Blue GT3 with 6,261 miles.

CamsPorsche - Is the 2018 GT3 total correct? 2300 of a total of 8980?
