How do you see the 992 affecting the Carrera T resale value?
Hi guy's,
I know..Its a bit speculative in some senses and rather obvious in others but I ask because I believe (keyword believe) that the Carrera T is a rather unique model. Sure its no 911 R or GT car. Just wondering how bad you think the Carrera T 991.2 value will get hammered when the 992 hits the streets.
Thanks

I would count on same depreciation % that you see with the rest of the 991.2 models so far. Once 992 hits, will accelerate. None of these cars are that collectable.

The .1's and .2's will continue depreciating. The lower down on the curve they get, the slower it becomes though. Not like they become worth $0. .1's in the $70K's will be slower than ones in the $90K's still.
They're cars and depreciating assets. They're meant to have fun with and enjoy. Entertainment. You don't take a nice vacation and expect to not spend any $$. The memories and experience are the real value.

Took delivery of mine last week at Zuff and am enjoying the hell out of it here in Germany. Don't worry about the depreciation.

Taking STGs observation a bit further, depreciation is a very complex formula that is part financial and part emotional. You add the negative financial part to the positive emotional part and the result is the depreciation. For me,
I don't see any depreciation, just appreciation.

They will go down just like the 997.2 Carrera's depreciated when the 991 was released. The Carrera T isn't close to a collectors car.

For what my car is worth and how much will depreciation be, need to get a GT3 and hang out in that forum
Here it is all about appreciation for the machine and T owners are drivers and it is all about the smiles per miles.

Bought the T today guys. It's late and I'm shacking up in a hotel tonight, will post pics and options this week. Thanks for all the input, I actually have to say I agree with every response here
