Default Sell 991.1 4s and move to 991.1 Gt3?

Hey

I purchased 4s like 2 month ago, and my porsche dealer called me and asked me if I am interested in 2015 Gt3 with 5k miles and it is CPO...

I am losing 15k for 4s and 50k more for gt3 if I move to GT3.. but my bigger concern is how GT3 would depreciate after 992..,.

should I continue drive 4s and wait for 992?

Don't get me wrong, I do love my 4s but gt3 is my dream car........ can I am seeking for help for justification....

Seems money is not the issue....so go for it.

As for me it would upset every bone in my body. At the very least I would expect the selling dealer to give me what I paid for for the 4s or shine on.

But that’s me.

Uh hell ya!

The only reason I don't have a 991.1 GT3 is because if I got it....I couldn't afford to track the **** out of it.
I don't buy cars to just drive to car shows

Plus I think the wife would kill me

The 991.1 GT3 is 10 times the car a 991.1 C4S is, I would make the move without even thinking about it if you have the means. The fun factor is off the charts with the GT3, there's nothing else on the market like Porsche GT cars.

What you need to do is drive the GT3. As the others have said it is a very different car to your C4S. Would not worry about depreciation, the gen 1 cars have a 10 year warranty on the engine which should help. Just drive it if it resonates make your best deal and buy it they are fabulous cars. To me its a 911 on steriods!

If it were me I would get a GT3 but not that one. Ones with 15-20k miles are a bit cheaper and better value to be driven imo. 5k Miles is too low for me but c’est la vie. If it’s your perfect spec and you can afford it go for it. I’ve gone back and forth going to a GT3 myself from my C2S but I’ve got my car configured just the way I like and I’d miss the manual too much to go to PDK.

First if it's the same dealer that sold you the 4S make him work harder to get your business and trade up $50k. You should get out of the 4S close to even.
Second drive the GT3. It is special but not as every day as your current car. Not a city cruiser. But if you are looking for a more track dedicated car it is hard to beat. Buy the car not the label. If you plan on using it differently than your current car then it's worth the up charge.

Its a 991.1 GT3 - ask about the extended warranty for the engine and why that extended warranty is in place, ask which engine it has e.g. the E, F or G series. Read the thread on 991.1 GT3 engine failures and specifically note the different dealership behaviours when the problem presents.

The dealer (if this is same place you bought the Carrera, is trying to screw you. Big time. Playing on your emotions with the GT3 to get you into one.

$15k loss in 2 months? On a brand new .2, maybe. But on a used .1? Hell no! Should be close to even, a few grand, maybe $5k? That's being generous.

If you feel like getting hosed is worth it, go ahead. But you are getting hosed. Big time.

This is exactly why I passed on the .1 GT3.

this This THIS!! Did you really ask to get this shafted by a dealer and THEN also worry about depreciation on the GT3. Sorry to be so blunt.

Well I hate money so I bought a .2 GTS last year and traded it in 6 months later at a $30k loss for a .2 GT3 allocation.
It is true when they say that the GT3 is a different animal. Do it!

Well IF the allocation was at MSRP then you really didn’t lose any money.
