The new C2S with PDK has been timed at 3.1 seconds 0-60, and 11.4 seconds for the 1/4 mile. Much faster than the 718 C GTS.

Well, it’s later and I watched all of them, so thank you for compiling! Cool to see how much Randy loved the 2012.5 S. He looked like a kid in how smitten and taken aback he was, maybe the most genuinely positive I’ve seen him toward a car. A guy like that calling a car “perfection” is a significant statement. No wonder they awarded it for 2 years straight.

Default GT350

I test drove a GT 350 and do not even think it is in the same category as a 911 as an overall package. it might do one thing as well (or even better) but it fails on too many other counts. The exterior and engine sound are great but the seating position and cheap plastic Ford interior are crap.

991.2 S lost out to the Shelby GT350R 2nd place and 1st place was Mclaren 570S

I would not call a GT350R a hunk of junk

The 991.2 S also Lost head to head with the Corvette Grandsport C7 - They felt was more fun

Motortrend has a thing against Turbo 911 models.. They found NO fault with the 911 TURBO S but wouldn't give it best driver car this past year because quote, "IT WAS TO EASY TO DRIVE FAST" so it was too good of a car to win lol - They stated the Turbo S was "boring".

Seating position is horrrrrrible in the Mustang. 911 has probably the most perfect seating position out of any car, anywhere to me. It's one of the only cars I actually feel like I'm sitting IN, which is such an important factor to connect with any car, especially a drivers car. I'm 6'4 with long torso and I can fit well inside a 911, even with sunroof, which is unheard of for me with about any other premium car, even massive SUV's. The Mustang has me practically sitting on the roof.

Actually I think the 570S and 650S have the perfect seating position. At least for me, anyway.

Actually that doesn't surprise me, considering McLaren are building some of the best quintessential sports cars around, focusing on areas others have lost track of. Unfortunately, I wouldn't really know as their headroom is anything but fit for tall people. :/

I agree and have sat or driven most of what is around, and I saw this recently in regards to Porsche:

Did they post a lap time for the base Carrera 991.2? I suspect given the added torque it would be close to the 2012/2013 Carrera S around the track and a bit quicker than the Cayman GTS.

I give my Turbo S the Best Driver Award every time I drive it. Hardly boring sometimes scary.

I don't care if the Cayman pulls 0-60 in 1 second. It sounds like a lawnmower and I want to kick it. Repeatedly.

Yes I had an extensive test drive in it.

I decided on a 911 C4S as it is a more comfortable/practical car, and as someone else said it has the classic styling. Pick it up in a month.

However, the upcoming 718 T models could really have tempted me if they had been around back in September when I ordered my car. Of course it would have been an altogether different feel. I agree on the sound of the 718 may not appeal to all, but they sound like 356s from way back, even a bit like the VWs, but that's their heritage. I would imagine if they built an NA four (which they won't/can't), they would really be a sound from the past.

As far as a few tenths of a second 0-60, it's irrelevant. Won't be drag racing anyone anytime soon. Look around when you drive, how many of those vehicles beside you would you be able to outrun/outhandle in whatever Porsche you happen to own?

I'm happy in my skin.

As in all data, there are always outliers, you have an uncommon neighbor. Does he line them up and start them up at the same time? Would be worth a video.

I know, just kidding around but he really does have all of those, and a couple more. I can hear him when he takes a Demon out and he pretends A1A has a Christmas tree, all year.

I'll contribute my review from a few months ago:

TL;DR: I liked the PDK base Cayman, but the dynamics and power had nothing on my T.

cheers!
