So obviously I had no other headers to compare to, but you do hear a lot of more turbo swooshing at low rpms after the install. The overall sound gets deeper.

After pairing it with the 200cel cats the car sounds ridiculous. The turbo swooshing is extremely prominent. Will try to get some clips this weekend when i go for a drive

Awesome! I'm definitely curious to hear the new tone. I recently swapped out for soul cats/exhaust and LOVE it... but if it gets better? sign me up!

Would love to hear your car. Do you have the BMC intake as well?

Sound is so subjective, but I will do my best to put it into words...

After... More than anything you notice very distinct exhaust pulses, whereas before the exhaust pulses are more muddled and blended together. So the difference is very distinct in that regards. The tone become deeper, but I personally don't find this difference as significant, but still noticeable. The improved exhaust flow through the turbine must bump the turbine/compressor wheel speed as well because it's much more noticeable; turbo sounds. Thinking this through as I'm typing I wonder if I can quantify that observation by looking at before/after manifold vacuum? It would be nice if turbo speed sensors were on these cars, that would make it easy to determine... I may have to nerd out on some data and check :P

https://motoiq.com/testing-vektor-pe...e-911-carrera/

this test showed 19whp and 11 ft-lb and 30% faster spooling. Not bad.

Sound impressions from Cyberbug. His has extremely detailed install notes that will help anyone doing headers and cats:

Post 77 from @Cyberbug He installed Vecktor and Soul Cats and you can really hear the turbo swoosh. For clarity, no sharkwerks on his rig...

i do wonder if the turbo whistle is JUST from the cat. If you watch every sport cat video out there, all of them have very prominent swooshing sound. My assumption tho is that the headers help, considering i was getting more noticeable whistle/swooshing when i had headers only

Both the cats and the headers will allow you to hear more turbo spool or whoosh sound. One or the other and you will hear it, Do both and you will hear it even more.

I don't often agree with PTS, but when I do it's because of cool turbo sounds

This statement is 100% spot on.

Default Soul plus Vektor

I’ve a base 991.2 pdk. I’m not interested in tuning it as I wish to maintain warranty. Would like to bump things up a little bit over 400 hp if possible.

It seems to me the best way to do this is to add the soul exhaust with sport cats and Vektor headers.

Your thoughts ?

Depending on the dealer you may have a problem with headers and warranty; however, that topic has been discussed to death here, and every vehicle forum!

I talked to the service manager at my dealer. He says as long as the headers don’t change sensor locations I’m ok. I suspect if I have them instal too that would help.
