They are not for the "faint of heart" if replacement is an issue and often. I daily drive but don't track so I expect close to 100k miles before replacing. It's going to take me a long while to get there.
I really like them and if I do replace my TTS I will do them again.

When I sold my 2008 997 Turbo a couple of years ago, I had the PCCB system inspected. It had about 48,000 miles on the odometer at the time. My Porsche tech told me that the PCCB rotors were essentially "as new", and there was very little measurable wear on the pads. It takes a LONG time to go through a set of PCCBs on a car that's only driven on the street.

The costs haven't changed much in the last 10 years - PCCB replacement cost on 996 series cars was ~$20K give or take. Don't see any reason to think it will come down over the next 10.
Porsche is readying an entirely new bake tech - Porsche Surface Coated Brakes (PSCB) - that offers much of the advantage of PCCB, but with a much more scalable manufacturing process. I expect this will be the new standard.
cheers!
