Good for you! I've been preaching for a while that the best sound and gains come from cat bypass pipes or high flow cats (I've also got headers). The sound and power gain is insane.
To those speculating: LEAVE YOUR PSE MUFFLER ALONE! You don't need to spend $3000-$5000 on a akra slip on or an X pipe. There's very minimal gains in power/sound. It all comes from the cats on these cars.
Please update with your Cobb tune!

I love the weight savings comments..
How about you lose some weight and diet? I am personally 25lbs overweight and that would be where I would start.
Or run with 1/4 tank of gas? That might save 20lbs in a race.
Remove all of the frunk accessories like the compressor and tools.
I have a Targa with a 300lb glass roof, so as far as I am concerned, the weight savings is meaningless to me.

I have AWE sport cats and am planning on putting headers on the car. I believe having equal length runners on headers will change the pulses from the exhaust. The Kline exhaust sounds entirely different from what else is on the market (including exhausts with integrated X pipes) because of their headers. The Fabspeed headers dont have equal length runners and most people running headers right now have these on their car. The Fabspeed option likely only picks power up from having individual runners ( as unequal as they may be) and a proper collector. There's definitely more on the table.
Both Kline and Vektor's headers should change the exhaust tone. I also am wanting some more volume from my car. I'll probably end up going with a straight through type design with an X pipe.
The COBB tune should be in by the end of the week and then headers will be next!

My reply to LavaGTS merely points out another reason, not directly to your post.
P.S. I weigh 160 lbs btw.

Comment wasn't directed to you personally but, as an overall comment on all weight savings posts.
Sorry, if you thought I was calling you fat, but I am.

My driver's side car has a slight fitment issue as well. The muffler is shifted between 1/8" and 1/4" toward the passenger side. I installed it myself, and don't have the tools to bend the tubing.
I have the Akrapovic exhaust as well. All I can say is that the sound is GLORIOUS! can't say for sure if I felt a power increase, but I certainly didn't notice any negative effects. The model makes this car sound the way it should have from the factory.

PTS, thank you for the review! We’re glad to love them – and thank you everyone else for your feedback! Full transparency, the reason for the fitment issue was that one of the pipes may have warped during welding slightly and our newest fabricator may not have realized it – and as you mentioned we are willing to compensate you for it if not now then just let us know when you ever need anything else. We’ve had a meeting and evaluated the construction, QC, and design to make sure we are very strict with our quality and fitment and see if we can improve. We’ve sold almost 4 dozen sets at this point and the only issues we’ve had are here in this thread I believe. That said, we will look into seeing if we can make the design account for any variances in all components in the equation.
If anyone ever has any issues we suggest calling us immediately without hesitation to discuss a solution. It doesn’t matter the time of day we are good about responding during off hours, worst case scenario I respond any time I’m not sleeping on Instagram. We cover our products with a Lifetime Warranty and we mean it, if you any issues at all just let us know, we aren’t shy about going above and beyond to ensure you are happy.
We highly recommend removing the entire catalysts / muffler assembly to assemble the SOUL replacement cats into the PSE. A handful of our customers had some slight trouble with alignment trying to install the pipes with the muffler on the vehicle which was resolved by assembling off the cat.
Regarding the offset muffler / soapman scenario - we add enough depth to the end of the outlets to compare to factory. If the Akra system has slightly longer inlets, you in theory could bottom out before dead center alignment. We’ll see if we can add more depth to the outlets to compensate. We’ll keep in touch via IG until we come to a resolution, as I say we aren’t happy until you are.
I’ve been talking with the one and only Scottykenneth about coming in for installation. I would plan on producing a video of the fabrication process, installation, and results after. Hopefully this would provide good insight for everyone. If anyone has any questions in the meantime, I’m always available to chat!

After first install, the center exhaust was sitting cockeyed and I did not like one bit.
As a result, I loosened everything and repeated the exhaust install as one unit (mentioned above).
While I got it aligned as best I could, it was far from ideal. The clamp on the left side was barely preventing exhaust gas from escaping at the joint.
Since I was finally able to tighten everything down, I decided not to bother with the fitment issue for now...
Again, love the sound and lack of CEL issues I received from bypass pipes.
I have not reached out to Soul since I don't have much time for removing and doing warranty exchange at the moment.
But, at some point I hope to have time to deal with it.
Sounds like a good winter project to take the whole thing back off and get something fixed/adjusted or ideally exchanged.

Wondering when a new version will be available.... Would like perfect fitment, but I will also have to pay for labor to reinstall the exhaust..... Not fun.

Soul: I dont want to rain on your comments, but I feel compelled to reply.
You have made/sold 4 dozen of these and in this thread alone you have 4 people making the same complaint. Thats 10% of production and thats just on one thread, in one forum for one group of owners. I would bet my last dollar that there are others, perhaps many others, who have not commented here who have the same issues.. This is a fabrication problem.
To lay the blame on the heat warpage is possible, but why hasn't the heat affected the passenger side cat? Always the drivers side. And to be honest, if the cat is assembled on a jig and allowed to cool, it cant really warp because the jig should keep it stationary until its cool and at that point its fixed.
Finally, to lay the blame on the new fabricator is also convenient but, we have guys on this thread that have installed them this month with the latest production batch (me), two months ago and even 6-12 months ago. These have been in production since July of 2017, so how new is the fabricator when it spans across the entire production range?
At the end of the day you guys are tops in my opinion as far as being available to troubleshoot and offer to compensate. Thats enough for me. I just think your position should have been "look, we understand that some of the cats are having fitment issues and we will immediately look into the issues and correct them". Thats it. Product is excellent and speaks for itself, man up and just correct the issue and move on.
