I have had sun roofs on most of my cars. On my 2018 911.2 I have the black glass roof which makes a great contrast to the white body. I use it in either tilt or open most of the time. Again personal preference, its like a cabriolet without the hassle. Enjoy these great P cars whichever way you like them.
+1 on the LOVE the Glass Sunroof. I seldom open the glass, but keep the shade open to get the light in. It just brings so much more detail to the interior, and feels more open. I would not have bought it without it, and I'm glad I did. Additionally, the effect of the black roof over GT Silver metallic is just beautiful!
This, too much yellow with a steel roof, I like the contrast. For daily driving the extra weight factor is meaningless.
I went with sun roof delete for two reasons - first, too tall to fit in cars with one (test drove multiple) and second like the flow of the color on my C2 GTS with painted slates
This is the ONLY option on my '16 GTS that I regret ordering . The sunshade does practically nothing in cutting down the heat from the sun and it gets bloody HOT inside. Last summer I had the inside of the glass sunroof covered in the most heat resistant and darkest tint film that I could find. It has helped but I will NEVER order this option in any car again. Unfortunately my 3 series BMW Sportwagon came standard with a DOUBLE glass Panoramic sunroof which I have had coated with heat resistant and dark tint film as well. Thought I would pass these comments on to anyone who is contemplating this option..........Air conditioning DOES help but still I would prefer a standard metal sunroof or no sunroof at all.
One option >> cover the exterior with black gloss vinyl wrap. Won't let the sun thru and same look on the outside.
New owner just getting feet wet here: Named things hardly ever, After driving for a couple weeks wife asked how I liked it? Said it was a "Rock Star" of a car. So It comes to the name of "Elvis" now.

I'm torn for reasons others have mentioned. I do like the additional light in the interior with the glass roof but there are times even with the shade in place when the sun is directly overhead that I find the light distracting.
