My bad, I meant to say all 4 of my 911s, not 991s.
Got it. I just could not see getting four of the same car when they are all basically the same.

As for the daily driver part of it, I would bet most that live in the snow belt that drive their cars in the dead of winter (slush, salt, etc) probably have them leased. They are in and out of the car in a matter of years, so why would they care about long term 911 ownership. I picked up a 2015 GTS MT last summer with 101 miles on it.

I had a stage I tuned ‘16 S6 and absolutely loved it. I sold it after 2 years and I’m on my first 911...absolutely love it and blows the S6 away, except for the 4 usable seats, which I don’t need. I bought a S3 for work/airport car and it’s a fun car in its own right. Now, only if the RS4 Avant comes to the states...

I DD my 2015 C2. It does everything I want it to, and makes me smile every time I start it up.
May end up with the roof rike & some bike mounts so I don't have to drive the Tahoe for that either.

I don't lease. I drive all winter. I think of it as a way to have fun going to have fun. Skies and Snowboard in winter and road/mountain bikes in summer. Today was sunny, little warmer than most days, so I just washed it off at the gas station.

Oh, that's basic ergonomics at work. I thought it might be something else..I am 5-11 and never had an issue, but you are in all different league obviously

Congrats on your 2015 GTS! It is great find for sure. I still miss mine and truly consider this MT NA one the best from 991 era.

You could be right about most, but not me. I got my GTS Feb 10th and have 1900+ miles on it already. I just wash it whenever temps rise above freezing to get the salt and other winter road grime off it.

I won't drive it in snow, however (unless I get caught out in an unexpected snowstorm by mistake). But that's more about not wanting crappy drivers to slide into me than anything else.

I don’t lease. I own but still my 991.1 sees rain and snow. Problem is , how to wash it. I don’t allow it to go through the regular car wash. Has to be hand wash.

Pretty sure the 305's on my rear wheels, coupled with the height of the car, preclude me ever trying to put mine through a regular car wash even if I wanted to. I'm not sure though, given I've never tried.
It only takes me about 30 minutes to do a quick wash on my car. The low height and general petite dimensions really make it easy. Hardest part of the whole endeavor are the darn wheels... those are 20 of the 30 minutes.

I found a place that does not have the little tire rails. I drive in and a machine moves back and forth 4-5 times. Air dryer and I drive out. I dry quickly with towels and I good to go. Cost $12 and takes 5 minutes to wash and I spend 5 towel drying.

Love the traffic 7 days a week regardless of the time of day. Since your in Burlingame, you must love those bad areas (Traffic) Millbrae, 3rd Ave, 92 bridge exit and Hillsdale. BTW, coming back from SJ to Burlingame, avoid the fast lane and the lane beside it as it was chock-full of potholes. I saw some brand new ones and small ones before getting bigger now with the rains.

Tell me about it. I got home from work today and absolutely had to hand wash my GTS at 36°F . I keep the hose in the garage so it's ready to go.

Daily drive? Absolutely!
The 2013 CPO 911.1 MT C2S in my garage has performed as expected. Simply rewarding. It's been driven hard, sonorously reaching for red line some of the time and predictably soft, when conditions demand it. I've ran the gears over 16K miles of road in the ten months of ownership without any mechanical problems or regret. Once I treated the machine more like a sports car and less of a shiny-polished object, it became even more enjoyable. I look forward to rolling it down the road during the commute in the morning.
