I don't think so. The service interval for that fluid is not 5 years. Maybe 10. Anyone know?

PDK is 120k miles or 12 yrs. It should be more than fine.

If they are going to do the CPO you can prob request them to change the brake fluid as well and if you have a good relationship you might be able to get the tires changed out as well.

Also, this car might not have sat for 5 years like everyone is assuming. Checking when the PO passed away would prob give a better idea as to how long the car has sat.

Fair price, minus some servicing required.
Tires will be out of date.
Talk talk talk. Have you seen the car?
Is there an outline of a body in the frunk?
Agree on a price, go get an interdependent PPi.
Post pictures of the very fair deal you fought for and got.

If it's a great car at a good price, i'd snap it up in a heartbeat with absolutely ZERO CONCERNS about 2013 with 6K miles on original oil...

Okay I'm going to weigh in with some semi-real world experience, which is more than most of these comments. I have a 13 year old Toro snow blower. I run it probably about 10 hours per year. That's the equivalent of about 500 miles per year, translated into car years. Or about 6,500 total miles. I have changed the oil exactly once. About 8 years ago. It is synthetic oil. Probably mobil one but I don't remember. The things starts on one pull every time. Runs perfectly. Doesn't burn oil. And the oil appears very clean. Yes I know I should have changed the oil many times by now. But I have a lot of toys and I just am a bit lazy with this machine. Same goes for my power washer. Which is about 18 years old. I'm pretty sure I will die before these machines do. Yeah yeah, I will change the oil before the next season. Maybe. Don't worry, my 911 is always serviced on schedule.

Can you compare these motors to a $25K dollar Porsche flat 6? Well not directly. But I would not hesitate to buy that car if all else checks out and the price is good.

I think I read in the Porsche manual that if the car has sat for 5 years, the PDK clutch fluid needs to be replaced. May only apply to 997.2 era.

These responses are hilarious and perfect examples of the paranoid OCD Porsche owner. Synthetic oils designed to go 10k miles between oil changes (some are 15k!) don't turn to acid after 6k miles and sitting 5 yrs. And the comments about the seals drying out on a 5 year old car?? Give me a break. It's not like this is a barn find sitting for 20 or 30 years. And everybody talks about dealer service records and how important they are. I've had more things messed up on my cars by the dealer and only take them there if I have to. This is basically a brand new car people. It only has 6k miles!

So let's just pretend the 6k mi oil is really bad and acidic and horrible. It's so bad in fact that engine wear has been happening at twice the normal rate. So what. Now it has the equivelant of 12k miles.

I wonder how many here have to sleep with a night light on, or send their wives to walk to the other end of the house in middle of the night when they hear a noise?
