Rennchip tuning
Hey guys! I have a 991.2 Carrera and started looking into the Bluetooth chip available by Rennchip, it’s less than $1100 and the gains seem to be decent. I can’t find much real world experience on any of the forums. Anyone out there have any advice? Thanks

Don’t know much about this other than it looks like a piggy back tune with possibly the module being able to be controlled via Bluetooth device.
Would be be interested in hearing any first hand experience with this or piggyback vs ECU tune for 991.2

I would wait to see a real dyno to make sure it doesnt lose low rpm power before buying it. I happens with piggybacks someties. With the 991.2 you have to take the rear bumper off to install these things so lots of work just to test it out.

Awesome, can’t wait to hear some real world experience with these. If you’re good at taking the bumper off, you can have this chip installed in under an hour start to finish
Would be interested in VelocityAP X-pipe, I looked it up on their website, just a question about it, if it’s for the base (non-PSE) why does it have two outlets per side? Maybe I missed something but if you look at the Fabspeed X-pipe, it only has one inlet/outlet per side??

Yezzir!!! Eagerly awaiting your review and dyno. If this doesnt lose power down low like other piggy backs (despite higher peak power) we will have a winner. Is your car manual or pdk?

Did you have any error codes? The problem is, if anything is loose or connected incorrectly it is really hard to fix it. I dont think you can start the car with the bumper off to have a quick check. Porsche really made this car painful to tune. Piggyback or ecu...
