I have the magazine in front of me and nowhere does it even mention the NA engine from the 991.1.

So I don't know where your quote came from, but it wasn't from Total 911 Issue 163, which is the subject of this thread.
ummm.... I posted a picture of the sentence and posted it....
Directly from the article...

Wrong!

The article you quoted is from the PORSCHE 911 CARRERA T FIRST DRIVE VERDICT article from the same magazine from December 19.

The article this post is about is from the 991.2 CARRERA V CARRERA T: HOW DOES THE T IMPROVE ON THE BASE CAR? published in February 26.

Haha, yes, it happens.

It is funny how much the same author changes his tune the second time around driving the car. He is much, MUCH more enthusiastic about the T in the second article.

Does anyone have the full article? I assume there is more than what’s on line. I’d love to read it.
Thanks.

I'm curious if the deletion of Light Weight Glass (LWG) in the T reduces the noise significantly, or if the increase in noise over the base is more a result of the reduced sound deadening. I'm guessing the LWG is one of the main reasons the T is louder. One of the articles stated that the reviewer could hear conversations outside of the car in the T, but but not in the base. Thoughts on this...?

If you want to determine the exact contribution of the glass, try and drive a gts and T back to back. Same amount of sound deadening reduction, different glass.
