Carrera vs. Carrera T - latest issue of Total 911
Anyone catch the latest issue of Total 911 (#163)? They have a comparison of the Carrera vs. Carrera T.... and it's quite the flattering article. I couldn't find the magazine in print so I purchased the iPad/iPhone version ($5) just to read the article.
Waiting for my car to arrive is now even more painful.

It's a really good article especially when compared to Pete Stout's experiences, since he also owns a C2 (not that his experience was bad!). It's very interesting to see the different opinions - love it!

That's the same T reviewed by 'That 911 Guy' in his 2-part YouTube feature.
Haven't see the Total 911 article but can't imagine the content style will be in any way similar.
Off to the newsagent's in the morning.

Those videos did a great job of cramming 5 minutes of content into 20 minutes of video.

Will be curious to read this. Different takes are good.
That said, if the T has RAS, I can see where it would handle quite a bit differently. Should be more planted in the rear under braking, and a bit sharper/more agile too. Curious to read the impressions on PASM vs Sport PASM damping.

Just read the article. I dont think the T has RAS in this comparison. The SPASM/LSD gets very high praise.
They also mention that the engine revs noticeably faster in the T and the exhaust note is different (I assume they both had PSE).
The reviewer felt as though there are some unadvertised differences with the car's programming because it makes the base feel a little less responsive/flat on the back to back drive.
I've always suspected that the GTS models have things that are not advertised (like throttle mapping, exhaust programming etc) to give it a special character. The T reminds me of a toned down GTS.
When I test drove a base .2 it was anything but flat, soIm pretty excited to hear there is an actual difference because the c2 kicked butt.
