Default AndroidAuto

We have an updated firmware which hopefully fixes the Android Auto issues.

Will post a update later once we’ve done the initial tests.

PM sent to purchase CarPlay system with backup camera.
For those concerned with installing the board in the pcm I asked Nick if a computer tech was a good option for installing the CarPlay board and his reply was yes that would be a good option as they wouldn't have any problem with the install.

Will there ever be a way of integrating wireless CarPlay via Bluetooth to the current system?

Will the wireless version be enabled through wi-fi or Bluetooth?

Wireless CarPlay is a wifi solution, it's not Bluetooth.

Cheers Nick

^^^ Thanks. Seeing that my 991.2 has both Bluetooth and wi-fi, I'm hoping that there might be a 3rd-party update solution in the works.

It's a possibility for PCM4 Probably a little earlier yet as PCM4 is still relatively new even though it's shortly to be replaced as the Cayenne, Panamera, new Macan etc.

For those like myself installing the aftermarket camera, please note that the guidelines are way off. I contacted Nick about this and he is looking into it. As you can see in the pictures below, in the first picture the guidelines make you think that you are going to miss the object, but as you can see in the second picture, I would hit it. Basically, if you see the object in your screen, you will hit it. I think this is more a problem of the lens or camera placement than the guidelines itself.

Definitely an issue, but I'd be fine/happy with zero guidelines and just having the ability to see anything behind the car. Right now, I dislike backing up my 911 as the rear visibility is truly not the greatest.
