if you guys can find a venue and organize a group buy, I am happy to stop by and help folks out. I actually think the install is relatively straight forward, and think most folks can handle this install with just a little guidance.

The car disassembly is not difficult. The hardest part is just working all the damn connectors off the back of the PCM. If you get a set of trim removal tools all the panels just pop right off like legos.

I’ve swapped a few messages with nick to confirm it will work on my 2011 cayenne.
Using waze are on my other car with carplay is awesome, so definitely will add to this one too - but now thinking if just replacing the whole head unit with that alpine may be the way to go?
What functionality would i lose? It’s not like I track this car. I’ll have to go through the screens.
crazy an installer wouldn’t want to do this - looks like a bunch of us here in the bay area

So - I found someone local in the Bay Area that will do the install - in Campbell, CA. They quoted me $325 and seemed to be familiar with the modification (they asked which manufacturer as they only do it for certain ones - and NM was good).
I've asked Nick if this allows a bunch of us to go ahead with this - if the group buy was still available.
FYI - I also asked the audio shop what it would take to do an alpine head unit (the one with the wireless carplay and it would be around $2,200 all in due to the adapter kits you also need to buy for the Bose/Burm and rear camera. He said you would lose the parking sensor visual (but retain the audio) for my model.
So funny I'm paying to do this on the Cayenne when the GT3 comes with this and I don't use it!

Nick got back to me and is offering the following group buy - so go ahead and send him a PM to confirm! His username on here is wizard263789
"2 units 5% off each unit
3 units 10% off each unit
5 or more units 15% off each unit
Plus the shipping, obviously if we shipped to a single address there is the ability to save significantly on the shipping."
I just placed my order!
