Default 991.1 vs 991.2 Fight Club Thread

Come post your accolades or gripes with all things .1 vs. .2
Rules: argue all you want but do NOT attack each other personally, we are a big unruly family but we are a Porsche family!
Sarcasm highly valued. Points will be awarded for clever posts and retorts

.1
Pros: great sound, linear acceleration, NA engine is pure gold, plenty of performance, etc.
Cons: slower than .2, older electronics, no RAS, etc.

.2
Pros: torque, speed, rear axle steering, updated NAV, etc.
Cons: turbo lag, reduced induction/exhaust note, smaller displacement engine, etc.

For the record, I’m NOT getting into 991.2 because I love my .1 GTS and it is more car than I can ever handle. Tried the .2, sounded worse than my house vacuum so I ran, could I put up with it, absolutely. Maybe the 992 will deliver….

Sticky & K-A: let the fun begin!

.2 is better in every way over the .1 except for pure sound.

.2 "lag" is barely there and you have to search for it.

.2 is still the better track car. The slight throttle response benefit in the .1 is completely muted by the lazier PDK and big early torque from the .2.

.1 owner are full of COPE.

-A future .1 owner.

The added weight is not an advantage of the #2 cars. The #1 are an engineering marvel in todays world to come out lighter than the previous, smaller gen.
