This is definitely not faint. Sounds like one of those hoopty cars vibrating when it hits.
Seems to not be a major problem for most, so I'll just need to play around with it a bit. Turning down the bass a couple notches did help. Just may be one of those things I have to live with.

If anyone is making changes to their setup and wants to sell their Musicar Bose tweeter setup, please let me know. Thanks.

What about alternator whine, that used to be a common occurrence in car audio systems many years ago. I'd hate to pop for this and have my beautiful Porsche sound ruined.

Alternator whine is a ground loop. Usually caused by not finding a good solid ground for the amp. There are small devices you can use in between the amp/connectors to eliminate it but, best way is to just run a new ground.

I am looking to upgrade only the front speakers on my 991.2 (base system), and dynamat it while I'm in there. Any recommendations on speakers to buy that I can put in?

Funny to post another vendor's information here but this thread is pretty much dead since Musicar is not giving us any updates or respond to any of our questions.
This is new vendor who sells perfect fit adapters, good speakers and plug & play harnesses for 991:

These are interesting but seem overpriced.

Won't any 6.5" speakers work as long as the magnet fits? Do they need to be 2 ohm?

They're actually quite reasonably priced for their quality.
Musicar tweeters cost a lot more compare to Rennspec.
If you can get better price on the speakers, I still recommend getting their adapters (and possibly plug + play harnesses)

I bought their adapters for my speakers and they're extremely well made. It's far better than typical audio shop's adapter quality and priced pretty much same (in Orange County, CA at least).
I've read through almost all audio thread but for mid, 3-4" are max and there's some depth restrictions.
For woofer, I've seen people using 6.5" (focal), 8" (morel, dynaudio) and 10" (dynaudio).

From what I heard from experts (including Musicar and Rennspec) when you use 4 ohm speakers to replace stock speakers (2 ohms) on stock amp,
You may get better sound on mids (depends on speakers you get) but most likely lose volume on the woofers.

Good luck, they don't really answer up here. You may have luck calling them. They did answer when I called, but they were always too busy to talk and never called me back on multiple occasions.

Just a warning to prospective buyers, Musicar seems to have vanished and does not respond to emails and calls. This doesn’t sound good from a buyers perspective.

Just another bit of info: I bought a Stage III system from them back in November 2020. They were absolutely fantastic with communication, by email and phone. Nick was always very courteous and went above and beyond. He even accepted the car from being shipped across the country. My experience was great service and product.

With Covid, I hope they're ok.
And I know most of manufacturing shops are struggling due to people prefer not working and collecting money from gov (I heard not working actually makes more money than working these days).
When I got tweeter kits, I had really hard time connecting with them (PM, call, email, instagram message, FB message). But once got connected, Nick was very kind to explain everything.
I saw stage III packages. How they made their kit was over the top and even their packages were too nice to just scrap. (their price is pretty high but they really do make great quality products)

But it seems they really abandoned our forum for sure.
