That's an interesting build, Engineer.
Why did you decide to delete the lightweight rear and side glass?

I agree. Another stupid thing I like is the fabric seats.

If this car had been available when I ordered my C2, this would have been my route. We will see next year when I can move up to my next lease if it's available.

My order: $120,700
GT silver
Carrera T interior package, silver. (sorry if I offend anyone, but these fabric seats remind me of the VW GTI seats that I love)
Premium package with LED lights (not sure on the lights, I haven't decided if I like mine yet)
Glass sunroof (I know, but gotta have it)
Front Axle lift (seems necessary)
RAS (Not sure - on the fence for this one since I don't track)
Heated Steering Wheel
The free stuff - smoking package and useless luggage net
Fire extinguisher (always add!)
Voice Control
Bose stereo (Move my Musicar tweeters over)

I received an email from PCA - I think if you go to the website and look under fall 2017 raffle, it has the details. $50 per ticket, 8500 total tickets or something like that.

.... and you need to be a member of PCA.

I bought my tickets. I don't expect to win, but it is a great way to support an awesome club. I met some nice people this summer through a PCA event at Summit Point race track. That was a day of fun watching the races, getting on the track for a few laps, and a picnic, too.

Hey, you don't need any stinkin' 911T, Mr. Future GTS owner. (You can give it to me, haha.)

LOL....I think I would rather have the GTS over the T but the T would be a nice down payment for the GTS!

Rage-free opinion.
I don't care for it at all. All the stuff available as standard equipment, SPASM, PTV, light weight glass etc., should have been offered in the base carrera. The only thing that is distinctive are the trim bits with dubious agate grey accents, a different snout and grey wheels. Marketing gimmick IMO but hey, if folks like it, it is available. Spend your money where it fancies you. It is yours after all. Plenty of 911 variants to choose from.

If nothing else the shorter gearing for those that like to "row their own" & get more excitement driving a "slow car fast" will make the T more fun around town. I'm sold!

My final thinking is subject to further investigation as to the material; if it is something like Lexan, I am thinking it might be more susceptible to scratches over time.

If you hadn't put "the truth" in your summary line I wouldn't have responded. But, just because some Nerdly-looking dude from Connecticut has made himself into a branded Porsche expert via youtube doesn't mean that his knowledge comes from a burning bush on the corner of Porschestraße and Aderstraße.

He knows nothing we do not, or cannot, know.

I agree with his opinion that the new 'T' interiors are nifty and a must have. I think they are the best feature of the T.

I disagree with his observation on lag in Turbo/TurboS and his opinion on RAS.

2 of 3 (of 3 that I have seen) of Porsche's official materials disagree with his assertion of 11 pounds of savings for the T.

Maybe you just forgot the "" after 'truth.'
