Hotel near porsche museum
Just asked to come to Germany for some consulting. Have a week and would like to re-visit the museum. Any good hotels nearby? Been quite a few years. TIA

I have stayed at the Graf Zepplin on both European Deliveries. 5 star and Porsche has a relationship with them. About a 14 minute cab ride from the Museum.
From their web site:
"Directly opposite Stuttgart's landmarked main train station, lies the Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin. Thanks to its central location, you can quickly reach nearby tourist attractions, such as the Schlossplatz square (approx. 900 m) or the Opera House (approx. 800 m). The airport is only 14.5 km away.
"Enjoy timeless elegance and modern design in 117 rooms and 38 suites! The soundproofed windows and comfortable beds will guarantee a restful night's sleep. For your convenience, a flat-screen TV, air-conditioning, work desk, safe and minibar are also included."

If you're a SPG traveler, Le Meridian in Stuttgart is not a bad place and ~ 20 minutes away.
For a unique experience, check out the V8 hotel
https://www.v8hotel.de
Lastly if you're a foodie, travel due south of Stuttgart to Baiersbronn. It's a town of ~12,000 people and they claim (7) Michelin Stars among 3 restaurants. See the article below.

have been & recommend the
Le Méridien Stuttgart & the
Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin in
center-city Stuttgart. From
both, you can walk to the
Bahnhof & take the S-6 train
directly to the Porsche Museum.

But since you are 'homeles' & are
probably naturally frugal if you are
using your own money to pay for
hotels (vs expense account), let
me give you a cheaper alternative!
Here is where I have often stayed.
Hotel Neuwirtshaus
You can easily walk or take a bus from the corner
of the hotel direct the few blocks to the Porsche
Zentrum & Porsche Museum across the street.
And you can book it easily via Hotel.com, etc.
You can read about some of my stays near the
factory at Zuffenhausen on these past threads:

Thanks for all the advice. Only have one day, so will try and pack in as much as possible. Been 20 years since I was at the museum, so can't wait to see the changes.
This will be a great learning experience as I'm doing a European delivery on the GT3 in early spring.

+1 for the Hotel Neuwirtshaus
Location cannot be beat. Very clean and simple European lodging, with good breakfast and surprisingly solid dinner when you want to keep things simple. Walkable to the factory, which means walkable to the train station right behind the Porsche museum. A staple of Herr Leffingwell and myself when we want to maximize our time in Zuffenhausen.

I'd stay in the city ctr right across from the main bahnhof and catch the S6 to Porscheplatz as Eduardo suggests ... another plus with those hotels if you are traveling in Germany staying across from the main bahnhof you can get on and off ICE and walk to/from your chosen hotel in less than 5 mins...
I usually fly into Frankfurt and catch ICE right out of the airport and into downtown Stuttgart!
