Nice review of CarMax, Eduardo. Thanks.
Can you tell me why you did not ask CarMax to transfer that car to a nearby CarMax store? From Oregon to Arizona is most likely around $900, I think. Maybe you were already thinking of a road trip?
PS. That Lime Gold 991.1S is still available but CarMax won't allow any more transfers. So? If you are a Lime Gold enthusiast and won't mind one with a collision...

Portland & needed to collect in person! I have
another wager with him that my cost me a
bottle of Manischewitz...but that's up in the
air right now!

Too valuable to risk moving it around...so I don't
blame them. The collision is quite understandable
in the case a 'Lime Gold' Porsche. People are so
mesmerized by the captivating color that they run
into it at stoplights and In & Out Burger drive thru's!
Most 'Nordic Gold' Porsches have several hits in their
CarFax too. Same damn thing!
It has become so bad Allstate refuses to do any
more 'Lime Gold' or 'Nordic' underwriting since
Jan of this year! Only Flo at 'Progressive' will
currently write them up!
That is the other side of the coin for choosing
such a rare & 'attractive' color!

What a great read. Thank you for sharing. Have a lot of friends who are dealership principals and they could write a "Book" of interesting car transactions and many have told me there are SO many reason how and why cars end up in the places they do.
Great read again and enjoy the new 911

Thank you for the comment!
Very true. The car business is fascinating! I have
a friend here in Scottsdale that just bought a used
'17 911 Turbo S with 317 miles from P of North
Scottsdale:
The car's MSRP was $227,555! The person that special
ordered this Turbo S from the dealer never took delivery
because apparently the wife objected to the high cost
of the purchase! Go figure! The car did sell to another
local wealthy enthusiast ...but he traded it back a few
days later on a Turbo S Cabriolet because he decided
he preferred an open car! Thus the 317 miles on the
odo!
My friend traded an Aston Martin DBS 'Carbon' Volante...
and...some (mucho) cash!
A weird story indeed that tells you the vagaries of the
used car business. But he now owns a strikingly beautiful
car...even though he wasn't looking to buy a Turbo S in
the first place! He saw it at the dealer while servicing
his wife's SUV! In fact, he has been mostly been an Audi
enthusiast! But perhaps my enthusiasm for Porsche rubbed
off...and I kept him informed of my own Porsche selling &
buying in the past three weeks!
In my opinion all the high-gloss 'Black' trim options on
this particular Turbo S (e.g. the $6960 Aerokit) make
this 'Saphire Blue' example truly 'pop' & stand out!
