No headlight washers for 2018?
I was at the Ann Arbor P dealer yesterday helping a friend car shop. They had a 2018 991C2S cab and there were no headlight washers. Salesman did not know why. Anyone?

Other than the fact that i paid extra for them painted in exterior color for my incoming 2018 GTS.
I guess we'll see.
I ordered my GTS in Chalk through Jay in Ann Arbor.
fwiw, Jay and Erik are great brand ambassadors in my short experience working with them (i just moved to Michigan).

My 2017 991.2 C2 MT has no washers. I ordered the standard Bi-Xenon headlights with no upgrades. You get the single fixture headlight with the four-spot inner running lights, no washers, and also a smaller washer fluid reservoir.

There was a slight change to the 2018 that increased weight. (I don't know what that is actually). Porsche had to reduce weight somewhere else otherwise the car would have to be recertified which is a really expensive proposition.
They got rid of the spray nozzles and pumps to compensate.
That is also why the painted spray nozzles are no longer on the configurator. Ironically, my 2018 monroney has them listed (since I ordered the black spray nozzles), but the car didn't even have the spray nozzles when I picked it up.
That is why I know the answer since I went back to PCNA and asked them WTF.
I was also told that the salesman were told about this (My SA was informed). So....just some feedback for your sales guy.

2017 should have the washers if you ordered PDLS which you did not. That is why you don't have it.

See post above. Your 2018 will come without it. You should ask for your $300 bucks back. I didn't since I really felt bad about what a good deal I got on my car that I told my SA to keep the money. Seriously.

Headlight washers are the biggest waste imo - maybe its because I dont need to drive in bad weather and keep my cars clean, but i purposely shut off the lights on my wifes truck so that it never sprays crap all over the place.

Just received my 18 c2s. I did get the PDLS option for $780. As you can see there is no nipple to speak of. I was a little freaked out at first and thought I got a Friday build. It was still in the configurator when I built so never gave it a second thought. While it does look cleaner without it, something still feels amiss. I guess because it's been there for so long even though it was utterly useless, it became a part of its identity, especially being right under the headlights. Oh well, guess I just need to warm up to it.

From the 991 gt3 forum:
Yes. Indeed!
It's more complicated that that!

Here is what I was told from Porsche directly in writing....
"At this time, I can only confirm that for the North American market Carrera, and Targa models below the GTS model will no longer come equipped with headlight cleaning systems."
so, it would seem the GT3.2 will still have them, at least for now (unfortunately).

In brief...
A) PCNA has told several Rennlisters that headlamp
washers are being phased out in this market on all
types of headlamp units offered by PAG on at least
the 991.2 (perhaps other models but question not
yet asked). We are talking US Market MY2018 for
these changes at present time. Not Australia, Europe
or anywhere else (to our knowledge).
B) Has nothing to do with or without PDLS option.
See pnutgt3 post above! And this LED unit below
on a US '18 .2 991.
To my knowledge, all LED headlamps have
PDLS+.
C) PCNA has told at least one Rennlister that base
991 & S models (below GTS model) will be initially
affected in the planned phased out of the 'nipples'
for this market. Other models perhaps may follow
suit, but we don't yet know at present.
