Default No headlight washers picture

Couldn't find the "nipples" thread to post this there but this is the first 2018 991.2 that arrived at my local dealership, confirming what others have said that the washers are going away. Way overdue, a much cleaner look indeed.

Probably it is because of PDLS+ if it was xenon headlight they would still be there (I guess with xenon they are mandatory by law).

In Rennlist, the 'nipples' threads are usually
found in the OT (Off Topics) Forum!

Aren't the base headlights xenon? I have those with no washers on my .1.

Maybe there are some difference in law requirements between ROW and US market, in Europe they are mandatory for sure. But as much as I like nipples (but who doesn't), the car looks definitely better / cleaner without

Correct. What is not clear to me is why Porsche is
eliminating (they called it 'phasing out') the 'nipples'
in the US market at this time if they were not a US
DOT requirement in all previous years!

No, it is the optional/upgrade LED lights!

The LED lights had 'nipples' in previous years since their introduction in this market!

This is embarrassing, but how do you activate these nips? Is it triggered when you wash the windshield or is there a separate button?

You never want to activate these 'nipples',
trust me. They make a mess of your entire
front end & are powerful enough to send
the bluish liquid right over the car & clear
into the next county or zip code!

They are dreadful. They make a huge mess. Yes, there is a separate switch to turn them on.

Here is what I was told from Porsche directly in writing....

"At this time, I can only confirm that for the North American market Carrera, and Targa models below the GTS model will no longer come equipped with headlight cleaning systems."

so, it would seem the GT3.2 will still have them, at least for now (unfortunately).

I would take this with a grain of salt. A week ago, I asked my SA about the nozzles and said they were unable to get any kind of answer from PCNA. They only found out when the car arrived.

I think it is on the back of the wiper stalk.

Non-PDLD cars look like this. It is the PDLS which adds headlight cleaning system. The configurator doesn't work in this regard, always showing them regardless.

No, I know those are LEDs. My point was the comment that a poster made that Xenon's required nipples in the U.S. is incorrect. I have Xenons and no nipples on my '14 C2S.
