$64.95 a pair on Suncoast (https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/PK992RK.html). The one on the right in my car wobbles as it appears it was not put on straight. I can get it replaced under warranty but I surely do not want to go the dealer for just that so I will wait for my first free oil change; however, if I can get them off I may do a little customizing.

I replaced one early on as the it was bent on delivery. Just the **** not the pcm part.
took the car in to dealer the tech was not able to pull it
but I did, you need to use both hands or fingers of both hands
put the index and middle finger of each hand behind the **** and pull hard
it pops straight out
i had already pulled it out once at home
you can use a plastic trim removal tool as well specially made for clips, use a microfiber next to console for leverage which ever works

Thanks, my left one is bent so it appears to wobble when turned. That may be making it harder to remove. As long as I know they can be pulled off without removing a screw I should be able to get them off. Did you recall if the back of your has a square hole like the one in the above picture? If so maybe the cover can be removed as well and I can separate the parts for a little customizing.

I had the same issue left one was bent/ tilted. Seemed to be broken on the inside. Luckily no damage to pcm.
first I thought it was designed that way. I did post a thread on it (search) can’t remember how many pictures I had in it.
it was more like in post #13

My dealer is sending me replacement ***** in the mail and I will return mine and it will be processed as a warranty claim so it will not cost me anything. I do not want to remove them until the replacements arrive but I was able to take the cover and chrome ring off, which is what I wanted to do since I hate chrome - I will change that and be ready for when the new ones arrive.

Anyone have success removing these ***** without destroying them? I got a new set but still haven’t figured out how to remove the originals. Saw an EBay seller saying the way to do it was to remove the caps and remove a small screw. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Looks like my 15 Cayman has the same PCM as the 991s.

If they're sticky, simply use some baby wipes with good old fashioned elbow grease.
You can also use a cloth or tissue with some rubbing alcohol.
The cheap coating comes off and they are as good as new.
