Finally used my wife's iPhone to take a pic of the T-Designs install.
Works perfectly, mount easily adjusts for phone size, rotates and you can bend the tang for angle. Tang fits into clearance between modules and dash.
Will not come loose even during DE(Iphone not mounted).
USB from arm rest console to iPhone gets you CarPlay.-Richard

Me too. I put the magnet right on the back of my 7 plus because my case is thick. Zero problems. Gets knocked off easily but doesn't fly around the car in corners.

Glove box = yes

Maximum grip and stability - Ram Mounts. They're big, clunky and hard to get phone out of, but it's highly secure.

I use a RAM at the track. Impressive mount. But a bit overkill for a daily.

I have my T Mount installed like yours and I constantly need to push it back in. I have had it pop out and land on the floor with my HTC10 still attached. It's an ambient temperature issue.

Mine came shipped with a 3" x 1" adhesive felt strip that you can install if you encounter the issues you describe.

I'm going to give this one a shot: SCOSCHE MAGC242 MagicMount Magnetic Phone/GPS Power Outlet Mount for the Car
It's magnetic with a flexible extension to let you adjust where the phone sits. It plugs into the console 12v socket and provides 2 USB ports so you can also charge the phone and whatever else.

Here it is with the phone:

Yeah, Porsche wallpaper - must be a fanboy.
I like the little cable for the iPhone, too: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FCUJCSS

I'm using the t-design9.com with a
Cloele wireless mount Cloele wireless mount
. I used a flat micro usb cable to keep the cable hidden. I think I could've hidden the wire more if I had a longer cable and removed some panels.

The design for the engagement of the phone is really cool, making it easy to mount/dismount the phone. The photos show it dash mounted but it windshield mounts just as well. Its not expensive either. The only possible downside is seeing the sticky cup's backside on the windshield... if that bothers you.

Mounted to the upper left of the steering wheel you an adjust it to a position just far enough back from the steering wheel to be out of the way but close enough for easy reading and interaction. Mounted in the center puts it further away and may not be as good for your use but worked well for taking video; there it holds the phone just a little closer than the sport chrono clock. And as with all Amazon things it is easy to return if you don't like it. It's very popular and highly reviewed, check the Amazon ratings.
FlatSixes.com says they've tried most of 'em and this is their choice. It was a recommended gift idea last fall, so it was the previous version, now about $15 on Amazon. Has anyone tried both this version and the older one? Just wondering if the new one is that much better.

I hear it leaves a sticky spot on the dash. I use the vent type, not the best either.
