Who gives a crap about a deck lid or some minor body part changes. The 991 TS is the new model. It is totally Bad ***.I mean ,it is a 10 second quarter mile and 200 mph car bone stock. If you had one you would experience how fast it really is instead of being a key board cheapskate..

Spend the money(if ya have it) or quit bitcxxxx.

I will only bump up with big HP increases or complete body change...

+1, I'm not even convinced that what we are seeing is the final rear bumper. There's a lot of tape on the perimeter and those three vents for the intercooler look, well, like sh*t IMHO.

I could see a 991.2 or "facelift" attribution, but history suggests that a "992" designation would denote a very new 911 iteration that exhibits much more development/advancement. And that I just don't see.

I agree 100%!

That was exactly my comment regarding the 992 designation in the above thread I've quoted. I just do not understand Porsche's reasoning behind it and would completely change the history.

Precisely. The changes I've seen so far are much ado about nothing.

The facelift turbo will be available as a 2016 model according to a couple dealers I talked to. Who knows? Prob end of summer next year at earliest. I think if you like a car and can afford it, you should buy it. Waiting for the next best thing is frustrating as they constantly change the cars. Enjoy what you have/want currently and when the time comes upgrade if need be. If you wait for the next generation then you buy a first year model and may whine about gremlins and reliability in the first year. So you wait another year for things to be worked out. Oh wait, then there's a new model around the corner. It never ends...

Maybe they will put 600HP in the 992TTS so it can run the quarter in 10.4 Like the new Huracan.

My goal is to tune my car so it will beat the Huracan.

I'm not concerned with HP (or torque). The Turbo and TTS are already crazy fast, but if it's not enough, owners have the option of the 991 Turbo GIAC software. There may be a bump in HP coming with the 991.2, but I can't imagine the 991.2 will be faster than the 991.1 + GIAC:
