I have the exhaust w/o headers and I plan to get the Plenum and GIAC. You going to run some quarters with it to see how fast it is now?

I'm very curious. How's that all work together?

Should have mentioned. I have a GMG exhaust, IPD Plenum and BMC air Filter. Pretty impressed with all that thus far. I'm sure the software upgrade really makes the car explode.

Porsche is always conservative on the horsepower, so I don't expect huge hp increase on 991.2/992. If you look at the previous facelifts, the new Turbo will be 540, and Turbo S will be 580, always 20 more.

Did any one looked into the power kit from Techart? Techart claims it it will increase 60 HP and 130 Nm torque without affecting the vehicle diagnostics and servicing.

That looks like a development piece. It's way too crude to be a production decklid.

Obviously these are spy shots as pointed in the article. It's just interesting to speculate...

What camo is there on this? If anything I think the 991.1 should go up in value. This looks worse actually. The steering wheel from the 918 is the only improvement.

Yeah just camo, especially the rear bar slots and engine lid vents which would no way be the finished item. .2 will see the typical minor cosmetic changes to the rear bar and the lights, and a very minor bump in HP, like on previous gen 2 TTs. Unlike 997tt.1 which had a lot of room for improvement, the 991TT.1 is about as perfect as you could expect shy of moving the engine even further forward. The new steering wheel seems to be the only thing visually new on the inside. Probably throw in a few current options as standard equip, get new wheel designs, tweaks to the suspension and gearbox settings etc. The exhaust will likely get a tweak up (which it needs). I wouldn't be waiting 2 years though which is basically how long it will be before you can get your tail into one as a custom order. But it will be a better car no doubt. They don't make em worse. The changes may prove enough for some folks to change up but for many it will depend on the pill size I imagine. Certainly wouldn't stop me from buying a gen 1 right now. Life's too short to be waiting around talking about it. Far better off driving one now then worry about it later on if gen 2 eats at you.

Edit: I see there is no longer a sports or a sports plus button on the console anymore, just the pdcc button. Looks like a new control fixture mounted off the side of the steering wheel hub, that has a multi function arrangement where hopefully you can switch between normal, sport and sports plus modes instead of reaching down on the console. Good idea! With any luck access to the pdcc in other modes will be available other than in just sports plus. Seems such a waste not to be able to do that.
