The website I have been using to track California Highway has no updated location information since two days ago. I guess it needs to get close to land. Should be in Halifax on 7/1. I imagine that the timing on shipping routes is not subject to much variation given the logistics of loading/unloading containers. So I will wait patiently.

Once it's in range, you'll be able to track it again. I learned today that the California Highway will make a stop at Brunswick.

I can't wait patiently

California Highway last reported position on MarineTraffic was Celtic Sea June 25 at 19:20 GMT. Approximate distance from Falmouth, UK to Davisville, RI is 3150 statute miles or 2726 NM. Say vessel makes 16 kts SOG to be conservative. Seven days and two hours enroute from Falmouth. ETA is July 2 at about 2100 GMT, not accounting for intermediate stop. If it stops in Brunswick for a day then in Davisville s on July 3. Of course, if it was on the western edge of the Celtic Sea at last report ETA would be a bit sooner than July 3.

My car was complete on June 20, but I have not heard from dealer on which ship it is or will be on. Might be on CH since another car completed on June 20 is on board. Max two weeks from Davisville to dealer, as my dealer is an hour from Davisville.

I have a print out from the shipping site with the stops and estimated ETA. It does not show a stop in Brunswick. And Brunswick would be after Davisville. But I admire your nautical skills! Thanks. Can't get here soon enough.

I have it on real good authority the schedule was modified for it to stop in Brunswick before 7/11. If it doesn't stop in Brunswick there will be some pretty unhappy people. Me included.

Just got my updated schedule. Car left Emden 6/27, a week after completion and is to arrive in Davisville on 7/4. I do not know what ship it is on. Will check MarineTraffic for other Emden departures on 6/27 and their destinations. My originally estimated delivery to dealer was 8/22 and the update has it at 7/18. SM thought that it may be sooner.

I believe the 27th would have been the Florida Highway.

Yes, and the VW Logistics schedule has the ship arriving at Davisville on July 8, while the Porsche schedule has it in port on the 4th. Either way two weeks for PDI before delivery to dealer on the schedule allows ample time and the SM thought it would be here a bit earlier than scheduled.

I have a Cayman S on the Florida Highway. Marine Traffic says ETA in Davisville is 7/7. 7/4 is not possible, that's only 7 days transit.

MarineTraffic ETA to is July 7 0400GMT/10:00 p.m. EDT Davisville. I have no idea of why Porsche has the ETA for Davisville on July 4, given the VW Logistics schedule, but it does. Apparently they are not as precise as one might have expected. Using the MT last known time and position at 2:00 am EDT on June 29 when Florida Highway that was making 16.6 kts it was approx. 2800 nm from Davisvile or 7 days. That dead reckoning makes the RI ETA the very early morning of July 6, assuming that the route is direct to Davisville with no intermediate stops. Of course, if there is a stop then July 8 arrival is it. Bottom line is that the car is 3-4 weeks ahead of schedule even if it does land in RI late on July 7, PDI is not likely to take two weeks in Davisville, which is an hour from the dealer.
