Default Support group for "waiting" anxiety

Can those of us waiting on our cars form some sort of support group?-lol!

I'm suffering from PDAD "Pre-Delivery Anxiety Disorder".

Symptoms include:

1. Sleeplessness - And when you do sleep for 5 mins. the first thought that pops into your head in the morning is "is my car here yet?!"

2. Color flashes - Your head starts flashing every color in the Porsche guide in your head as you continuously imagine what your car might look like had you chosen a different one "Did I make the right decision?! Should I change it?! What does everyone else think?!"

3. Configurator Addiction - Self-explanatory. May result in Carpal Tunnel.

4. Loss of interest in anything less than exotic on the road.

5. General ADD in regards to conversations not relating to the delivery of your car - sample: Wife - "Honey, we need to get the plane tickets and make reservations for Joe and Jane's wedding on the 25th before it's too late. I have to get a new dress and some outfits for the kids. The dog sitters are already arranged. You need to get a haircut And the maids are coming so try not to leave your counter looking like a pig sty." You - "More importantly honey, my car arrives in 89 days 3 hours".

Other psychological effects may arise but this gives you some pretty good signs that you may have the disorder.

Maybe we meet once a month and tell each other that everything is ok and "the time will come". Maybe we watch Chris Harris videos. Maybe we just need Valium-lol!

Sorry for the worthless post-sort of therapeutic.

10 weeks an d counting before she arrives! Ugh....what to do? Easier to wait on the birth of a child! See, on my second pint in 2 sentences already-lol! Cheers to all of us WAITING!

I know how you feel, and there's only one cure. Now for the support group of those of us waiting for a nice warm sunny day in the Midwest ... With all of the potholes filled.

Can I still qualify for group membership?? Apparently my car showed up at the dealer yesterday but for a variety of real world reasons I won't bore you with I have to wait until Saturday next to actually go pick it up. Curiously this turn of events seems to have magnified the symptoms...

June..ugh..that's how I ended up with the TTS order to begin with. I have a GT3 on order to June delivery but I couldn't wait so when the dealer had a new TT come in that was a canceled order I bought it. Took it back 6 days later and ordered that TTS. I need to take a bottle of sleeping pills with a bottle of Jack Daniels and just sleep through it. I still haven't canceled the GT3 and may not!

Ironically the waiting part has been the least stressful for me, it was the configuration process that made me crazy! Thank goodness my wife loves me!

haha! great thread!

while I'm not waiting on something as exciting as a new TTS, I am waiting for a new car too,
and it's the 4th car I've configured and waited for, but boy is it worth the wait.....
I always try to just forget about it until I get the call

good luck!
