I Stepped Up AGAIN (991.2 Turbo S)
#841
Step, step , step.
I had a 2001 in that color. Added a Lingenfelter twin turbo kit and it ran 10.0 at 140mph at 4600ft DA. Had a C6 Grand Sport and a C7 ZO6.
The C5 was my favorite by far.
Well done !

Thanks folks!
This is a higher mileage example but still nice. Not much money in it, so it’ll be fun to have a sporty run around and for days I want something more raw and old school!
Oh , and I know I’m way off topic from the name of this thread. I kinda just use this one now as a “catch all” for updates. But mainly for post pics / vids / updates on the 991.2 Turbo S.

I’m going to resist any mods. I want to experience it stock for a while at least. Since I don’t have too much tied up in it, I may do something like that in the future if I do a engine build or something crazy but I have my turbo S for my extremely fast car and then this is my middle range car along with the supercharged Honda S 2000 for my convertible fun car..
I had a deposit on and actually lost the $500 deposit on a LS7 swapped C5Z06 that made mid 500s to the tires. I just decided that I did not want to risk spending too much money on a modified vehicle, without knowing too much more about it. Since I had always wanted one of these, I figure, I will experience it in stock form and then maybe do something else later if I really enjoyed the car.

I hear ya; I'm holding off (painfully) putting a blower on my RST until the warranty is done - those small blocks are just sooooooo good with a blower.
Your restraint is admirable.

@Big Swole ... Out of all the Corvette gens, I think the C5 has the sexiest dash.
And I hope you never try to cure your "problem."

lol There's no hope to cure it anyway.
Not so much...lol.
I'm a little more picky on my beer taste.
I really don't mind the stock shifter and throw to be honest. Maybe in the future if I mod it, but for now I'm really gonna try to leave it alone, minus a few small things to make sure it reliable.
It needs a matching set of good sticky tires first.

Congrats! I’d be willing to bet that the mod rabbit hole starts sooner rather than later, just saying…
