No, I am not a Friedman, but honored to call them all a close friend.
Text me or email me before you arrive and I will be glad to give you a full tour of the facility. It is a very impressive place, especially if you are a Porsche enthusiast.

A time of 7h50m, most certainly not my best, but it most certainly highlights things I'd like to change on the 991:
- thicker steering wheel
- Heads up display
- 730hp

Agreed. I've had HUD on Corvettes for the last 3 gens (C6-8), as well as on other vehicles, and they are great to have. However, on Porsche sports cars, it would take a total redesign of the dash, which would wipe-out the long-standing, iconic Porsche dash design. On our vehicles equipped with HUD, the dash is at least 2X deeper than on 911s to accommodate the cut-out required for the HUD projector.

There are aftermarket systems valuable that sit on top of the dashboard and receive a bluetooth signal from a transmitter that plugs into the OBD II port. I wouldn’t want one in my Porsche all the time, but it might be something to consider for a long road trip if you really want HUD.

Today's run... It was only 276kms as I was a little north of Calgary when I left, but managed 2hrs4mins, which I'm happy with.
Albertans are very considerate, and move to the right when they see you coming. Traffic flow was light, one Horseman, who paid no interest.
However, once in Edmonton, roads turned to a$$, and were that way to Edson. Maximum velocity in Alberta is about 85mph before you run the risk of getting charged, impounded and generally fvcked with.
Last run is about 980kms back to Vancouver, I'll leave early as I'm not entirely sure what is going on around Jasper, as it burnt to the ground a few weeks ago.

Last leg kind of sucked; made great time from Edson to Hope, then sat in bumper to bumper traffic for the last 100kms...
This weekend is going to be a 991 weekend!

I'm envious that you guys aren't averse to putting KMs on your cars.
I agonize over every KM I rack up. It doesn't help that I tell the wife "I'm just going out to get some gas in the car" and come back with half-a-tank again lol

The 991 didn't go on this run, but the 991 sees about 5k KMS a year tooling around metro Van.

Took it to Werks Reunion. Usually, two hours from home, but the last hour (so, 3 hours) was spent idling in line .8 of a mile away. Very poor traffic control.
Not mine, of course, but "interesting!"

Sam by design is the man!!!! Full kline exhaust Csf intercooler Bydesign/do88 inlets Bmc filter Sam’s special tune! Whole new car!! “Omg This thing is insane” is what I texted Sam at 8:23pm LOL. Unbelievable customer service and business owner. If you’re hesitant, do not be because I was in the same boat and I’m glad I went with Sam bydesign!
