Ahhhhhhhhh! That's awesome!
I was in the STi, and when I realized what I was behind, I cranked the boost up and waited for the road to open up, it did, he didn't...

just got this 991.1 TTS last week, immediately got the windows tinted and took it to my detailer to get a 2-step paint correction, replace the stone guards with Xpel PPF pre-cuts, and 5-year ceramic coating. Then installed the door decals, and smoke LED corners yesterday. Also the spoiler brake light has some dead LEDs so ordered a new one of those, and have a wireless apple carplay kit on the way. Oh and one last thing i got one of those huge 500ft-lb collapsible torque wrench's.... I freakin love this thing, i had a base 911 before this and still getting used to the difference in speed/performance. Looking forward to meeting everyone in the 991 turbo forum. I am a DIY'er and am a regular on the 958 cayenne and 991.1 carrera forums.

haha someone said the same thing when i got my first 911 as well, but my first porsche was a 2014 cayenne platinum edition, and i loved that thing so much its what made me look into buying 911's, and i still have a cayenne S now, so as a tribute to my 1st cayenne, and it bringing me into the porsche family, i will keep the username as is, haha. just need to update the thumbnail picture with this new turbo S.

I'm holding on to this car. No way to go backwards, and no way am I going to shell out $250K for a new one.

Congrats! You sound just like me about a year ago. When a nice 991.1 Turbo S appeared at my dealer about a year ago, I snapped it up as a "bridge car" while I waited for an allocation on a new, but lesser model 992. I fell madly in love with the freaking thing and was utterly amazed, so much so that when an allocation was offered to me I declined it.

I totally agree, im actually shocked that they have depreciated as much as they have. 991.1 targas are literally the same price as 991.1 turbo/turbo S, and 991.1 GTS's are only a little bit less. it makes no sense to me. Anyways, its great for me because i wouldnt be able to afford it otherwise,
Want to build an absurd track weapon? No problem... Take some of the softness/comfort/quietness out of the turbo. Upgrade the suspension to rose jointed components, a set of JRZ's, catless x-pipe exhaust, performance tune, some roll protection, Recaro kevlar buckets, some cup 2's, and smoke the HELL out of any GT3, and be into it for less than the absurd prices GT3's are pulling.
Want a ridiculously good canyon carver? Maybe just a suspension controller, exhaust, tune.
Want to build a airstrip monster? Also no problem, folks have been doing that for a while.
Want to build the ultimate daily driver that is quiet, powerful, reliable, handles great, can still do some track days or speed events? Ummm... No nothing, thats how the factory delivered it.

What is it? I don’t know BMWs, so it looks like a black sedan to me. Is it a special edition or high-performance version?

It is a Dinan Stage Two car, built on a competition package, last of the rwd only, dual clutch, and of course, 730ish thunder ponies.
It's pretty neat, I can break the back end out in the 3/4 shift.
Bought it with my ex, and after she had a COVID breakdown and left in the summer of 2020, it's kind of been parked. Frankly, it kind of irritates me as the reminder of the relationship I thought would go forever, didn't.
That being said, I'm now thinking about selling it, and it is hard for me to separate myself from cars, this will be the second car I have let go since I got out of school... Quite the dilemma.
