It is truly remarkable that you can get an 800+ HP rwd, six speed, factory warranty for under $100k...

Today I learned that if you drive with the frunk popped, you'll have no boost... 😂 Washed the car the car yesterday and if I wash it with the key in my pocket, it opens the frunk. Didn't notice it and took off for a drive, car felt totally weird, 0 boost and just felt broken. I figured I blew off a boost pipe again, but never heard it go. Went out this morning and saw the frunk was popped, could that cause 0 boost? No way.. Sure enough, closed the frunk and boost came back.. Strange I had no dash warning that it was popped, just felt like it was in limp mode.. Leave it to the Germans to save us from ourselves.. 😁

Wow, I did manage 65 on the highway, guess I should be thankful the frunk latch could handle it.. I don't know if I missed the message and it just eventually goes away when driving? But I was watching the main screen looking for boost and never saw a frunk open warning..

Some later model fobs require 2 presses or a press and hold action to release a tailgate or frunk latch. On my 991.1, a single quick press opens the frunk, which is very easy to do if you're moving around with the fob in your pocket.

Well if you have keyless entry and touch the bumper right below the badge, it pops the frunk as it should. Problem is if your washing the car and have your key in your pocket, it also pops the frunk (guess the signal travels thru the water). I usually leave my key in the car when washing, just to keep it from happening, but was at a car wash just rinsing it off and didn't think about it. Also didn't notice it had popped from spraying it off so drove off with it open.
