Paul, your runs to 10k ft are incredible, beautiful, versus, against what i came up against yesterday. - this was a new level of hardship.

Lol, until this morning.. That 14 degrees in IS felt a little chilly. Hopefully we get some precip, we could definitely use it.. But that's Colorado, 70 to 14 degrees in 12 hours..

It's one thing to live through experiences like that affecting your life, and it's another to be on the outside looking in at that picture. From my perspective, that picture you posted of the snow topped trees and winter majesty looks like it could have been from a Norman Rockwell collection. Canada is beautiful. Brutal too! But...beautiful.

That is true - it is stunningly beautiful, and for the most part when I venture out into the wilderness, things go OK... but the last few weeks here have not been good on anyone. Take for example, this picture of HWY 8 - it was a highway, and now there is a river where the highway was...

The level of destruction of the runoff is almost incomprehensible - this is only one reference to dozens of washouts and failures throughout the interior.

Been driving the heck out of it since returning from working out of state for the last year.
Got home on Nov. 30th and hadn't even started the 2017 Audi A6 in my garage, been driving the Turbo S every day.
Today, however, after driving the Audi, I realize just how spoiled I am and how great a driver the Turbo S is.
Just amazing at everything, from road feel, to braking, cornering, overall control, you all know the drill.
I was relatively disappointed driving the Audi, it just felt so sloppy on the road, and it's a sport package.

A river runs through it...

Nope, not likely. What is amazing is that through the four events, only three people died - all washed over the side of HWY 99 in a mud slide.

The Province totally dropped the ball on warning anyone, so it is remarkable that no one died on the Coke when various bridges collapsed.

When I first saw the above, it was from a chopper on the news, had to do a double take and rewind it because I couldn't believe what I was seeing.... There is about a mile of road missing there.

Good times!

Unreal, complete devastation, have never seen something like that and you sound as if it is not totally out of the norm…

Well, it is becoming the new norm here - crazy wildfires in the summer, numerous atmospheric rivers in the fall, hell, I cannot wait to see what winter holds for us...

Funny you should say that; the city of Vancouver has just passed a 6.5% property tax increase yesterday, after telling everyone it would not exceed a 5% increase.

So yeah, Merry F-ing Christmas.
