on the street, its really hard to do much better. doing an awd burnout in sport+ helps for sure.

On my much lower hp TTS, I can hold the brake and let it hit 5500rpm for 1-2 seconds and launch. You might have to watch the tack come up and leave sooner with the big power. Will take some test and tune time to find the sweet spot. Holding it at 5500 is probably building too much boost for the tires.

Higher RPM is usually better for the larger turbos, lower RPM might make the car bog at launch. As stated, will need to play with it to find the sweet spot.

I installed a front license plate mount. I ordered it through Carbonio. They didn't have a specific mount for a 991 Turbo, but they put one together for me from photos and measurements I sent back. I've had their mounts on other cars that is the reason I preferred them.
I had a tow hook mount on my old 991.1 Turbo S and I never liked the offset, as well as losing one of my parking sensors.

I also installed wind deflectors from AWE. I had these on my old Turbo S, which I discovered I needed during my first HPDE when the wind buffeting was almost unbearable.

Fixed an issue that had popped up a week ago that I thought was going to require a trip to the dealer. The airbag warning came on and at the same time the homelink quit working- seemed like too much of a coincidence. Also noted the little lights in the top light console weren't working. Tried to replace the fuse which immediately was fried. Also tried to clear the airbag warning with the Durametric and it came right back on. I had put in a "mirror tap" cord for the V1 a while ago which never seemed to be a problem but it too was dead. Popped out the console and pulled out the tap- fuse replaced everything worked and the airbag warning stayed off... somehow the tap must have wiggled together and shorted out. Won't bother with that again!!

And Durametric again to the rescue...

Consider getting posi-taps, much more user-friendly and can't guillotine the two wires together. Also, the penetration on the insulation is much smaller, just a pin hole. Easy to add additional wires to your tap too.
