The Girodisc rotors seem to be a great way to go at least from a street driven position. Especially considering that once you have made the initial purchase with the billet hat that future disc replacements are only several thousand dollars.

Does anyone one know why the PCCB rotors look like a cracked surface compared to other CC makes?

Why aren't there a reasonably priced aftermarket option then? Like a corvette-style rotor just in Porsche shape?
We have them. See below for some "FACTS"

Ceramic Rotor and Pad Replacement.

RB CCM rotors for Porsche 991 <$2,000/rotor (future replacement <$1,300)

Pccb to Iron conversion is also available at low cost!
RB Iron Corversion <$3,000

Professional built guarantee consistent performance and durability, both are good for your choice - No unbiased marketing opinion.

Both have the same core material - The difference is the surface coating.

What I want is PCCB style rotors from a third party that are reasonably priced. Even $3000 a rotor would be a lot more reasonable. Braketech should be able to do it, or Brembo. It prevents me from tracking my TTS as much as I'd like. Well, until I've paid off my car loan anyways. lol

Yes. Once we figured out TTS has a center lock hub unlike TT with 5-Lugs.

Front (410x36mm) only: http://www.racingbrake.com/Porsche-9...CCB-p/2c19.htm
Front and rear (390x32mm): http://www.racingbrake.com/RB-CCM-Re...por-crk-01.htm

These Pccb replacement are made by RB (w/ST discs) and we are proud to be the first and only brake company in the world offers 991 pccb replacement with stock delivery.

We offer ZR1/Z28 CCM rotor replacement which would be the least expensive alternative to run your CCB, however since the OE front is 410mm so your front calipers need modification to fit 394mm rotors. Alternatively you can purchase our complete system with RB calipers for an optimal performance.

See thread below for all options.
https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...ternative.html

CCB is a new brake technology which we all know offers a lot of advantage over conventional iron, however buy pccb option but convert to iron is still prevailing - why?. The reason and real challenge is "lack of adequate brake pads" to deal with CCM rotors for its extreme hardness and extra heat, and the "rotor are costing too much to replace".

However these are things of the past since RB sintered (full metallic) pads were introduced (exclusively for CCM rotors), and RB CCB rotors are built with GM CCM discs (made by Brembo), so you can enjoy this new technology fear free just like ZR1 and Z28 owners' "Install and forget it" fun on tracks than worries.

In fact we also offer iron conversion for ZR1/Z28 but very few are converting their CCM to iron, and as our sintered pads get more popular we predict ZR1/Z28 owners will no longer be doing this out of date and backwards conversion.

We are fully devoted to Porsche brake development especially on CCB which separates us from the rest of competition. We have an in-depth knowledge, expertise, and resources to bring you the best value of your brake investment whether you are looking for just replacement or upgrade.

Well, these are way more expensive than Corvette rotors still. Better but not quite there.

This sounds interesting! What would be the modification? Available for sale or needs to be custom-made?
