Default Gt3 rear parcel anchor points?

Are these 2 anchor points on the rear parcel shelf? Are they intended for harnesses?

No. I believe they are vestigial and used for rear child seat tethers.

Those are for the owner to hang himself because he didn't order the full bucket seats.

And no, not for harnesses.

Does this mean you can anchor a child seat in the back of a GT3? That would be genius for those of us with kids. Porsche should do that with all their cars--scrap the rear seats and just leave child seat anchor points back there.

You can definitely anchor a net, or even have leather straps made and use them for luggage securement.. just like this on the 812 superfast parcel shelf

Ask yourself this:

1) How do you secure your child seat now?
2) How many attach points are needed for safety?
3) Does that capability exist in the pic you posted?

Aren't we supposed to just super glue them back there? I didn't think we needed straps?

Better add zip ties as well so you have more than 1 failure point.

would be absolutely simple for Porsche to do. It's done in every car on the planet. 3 anchor points. one for top. 2 for the bottom. then you could put your kid in a 6 point harness child race seat and rip around the track.

Kids need more room to play than what's available in the back of a GT3. Station wagons are best.
