Anyone NOT order the front lift system?
I did a search, and this seems to be buried deep in various threads, so I started a new thread.
The GT3 car I'm ordering is a stripper. It's main reason for existence will be for the track, with maybe occasional drives to the grocery or weekend drive. I am willing to spend $160K+, but also like to watch my pennies. Just because. LOL. Given that purpose, I fail to see the utility of the front lift system.
So, anyone order or have a car WITHOUT the front lift system? Do you regret it? Or are you glad you didn't?
Thanks in advance.

I told the dealer 10 times I don't want it and they pretty much refused to let me build it without it.
I've used it all of NEVER
I have it on the 458 and not on the F12...I never use it ever.

Wanted it on first GT3. The one I purchased didn't have it. Didn't miss it. Ever. Have many friends with 997 GT3's that have it who've had it repaired many many times. Long term, it's a liablity in my opinion.
Don't have it on my RS. Don't need or miss it. I have a steep angled driveway and just consider the front lip a wear item. You get used to the SCRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPE sound.

My GT3 had it, my RS doesn't. I don't miss it. Totally depends on your usage and situation.

I went through this same debate internally for 991.2. I've had a 991 RS with the lift and RS without. My GT4 does not have the lift. The GT4 overhang seems like more than the RS so I seem to have to take more care with the angles (maybe it's in my head, but it seems that way). I never use the lift in the 991 RS. I agree it depends on your use. I live in Houston - you have to put thought into where you go irrespective of having a front end lift because the roads are horrible.
I'm not ordering a lift on the 991.2 GT3. My intended use of the .2 GT3 sounds similar to yours. Initially I'd built up a pretty optioned out car with the lift, PCCBs (initial configurator excitement), etc., but login set in and I have gone the other way and am going with as few options as I can - the lift was an easy one to uncheck.

The issue with the debate on lift v no lift is that the most crucial area that it can be necessary is the driveway. Regardless if you want to replace your front lip daily, if your driveway is so steep that lift is required, then lift is required.
